"Padded" is a subjective term here. Maybe lightly padded or thinly padded. For our purposes they're fine and I'm mostly happy with the purchase of two sets. The product works for its intended purpose and the overall construction seems good. I'm confident that they'll last for awhile. I'm well aware that expectations have to be well-managed at this price point, so four stars seems like a fair rating to me.

I purchased these even a little on the pricey side, they are totally worth it. They are adjustable which does help if you have big ankles. And it they don’t move.

I think these very much i got them for the gym so i could do kickbacks and side kickbacks on the cable machine at my gym and they work perfectly and fit perfectly you can adjust them to any size that’s comfortable to you also they are easy to use
