These nativity puzzles are a great value! But you get what you pay for. They’re obviously cheaply made, and the images look printed on and a little blurry on the larger set.If you’re using them as a gift for primary kids, I think they’re fine as they are. My primary kids loved them!!We are giving some as neighbor gifts and wanted to make them a little nicer. So we painted the frame black with some acrylic paint. We used alcohol-based markers (copic markers) to beef up the colors. Then we used a silver and gold metallic paint pen to add some additional details. A white paint pen added some final depth, and they turned out beautiful!! I’m also adding a simple easel support on the back of the puzzle frame made from illustration board to help it stand up a little better.In summary, these are great as they are if you’re ok with the cheaper quality. But they can be made spectacular with a little bit of extra work.

I am very pleased with the wooden Nativity puzzle. It is nicer than I expected since some of the comments were negative. I am very happy with how large it is when the whole scene is set up on a table. Granted the puzzle tray/stable scene will not stand on its own, but all the other pieces do and I have set up the tray background scene to stand against a lamp on a table. It looks very nice and everyone who has seen it is impressed.

It looks exactly as pictured and is well made. I got it as a gift and they loved it.

What a unique set! Not all the pieces are perfectly square, so a few have to lean against something so they don't fall over. Also, my Mary piece looks more like a penguin, so I removed it from the set. Overall, I like it and decided to keep it.

I was hoping that this would be a nativity that could stand up and be played with by my grandchildren. When it arrived, it was much thinner than I expected (could be my fault for not looking at the depth). It doesn't want to stay standing and keeps tipping over. I have seen these before and they are a lot thicker and more sturdy. Was going to purchase them for each of my children, but have now decided not to do it.

I've been on the hunt for unique nativity scenes. This is gorgeous. I bought the bigger size. I just love it. Colors are beautiful and so easy to store!

The design is blurry and sloppily printed on cheap pressed wood. It is cut after printing. This means that the borders of the figures run into each other. I bought this as a gift and I absolutely cannot give it to anyone. Please purchase something else.

W h en I saw this, I thought it was clever. I have a little one who loves puzzles and we needed a replacement Nativity. The craftsmanship is good. It looks artisan-ish. If you get the small one, it fits on a small table well (it will get lost if on a large mantle). Two details that could be improved on. There is a small filler piece that got lost within the first five minutes of use, and if you want to set up the scene, there is no really great way to display the star. If they had a little slot or peg to put the star on top of the background that would help make this perfect. Otherwise I do recommend this as a gift for kids and even your family’s nativity set. It’s “cute”, rustic or craftsman/artisan looking and good value for the price.
