HDMI Switch 3 Port Auto Switcher Hub with Pigtail Cable Supports 4K,3D,1080P HD Audio for HD TV PS3 PS4 3 in 1 out I bought this HDMI switch because I only have 1 HDMI port on my monitor and it is a right pain to get to (as well as being packed tightly next to other cables). It arrived in a nice little box with a small manual that says it supports “3D HDMI 1.4b” video, 12-bit colour and HDCP 1.4. Note in the manual it also mentions that it is not compatible with PS4 Pro 2160P@60Hz. The cable was short at 50cm and can be pulled out and replaced with a longer (or shorter) one to suit your needs. For my usage, it worked great and had nice rich colours. It worked so effortlessly that I couldn’t tell I was using the switch as the picture quality looked great. Pressing the button to switch HDMI inputs was smooth and fast with no interference from the other devices. I tested it with Google Chromecast and nVidia Shield and it worked great, but you must NOT plug the Chromecast’s USB power cable into the TV because there won’t be enough current to power them both. I’m very happy with this product, it’s enabled me to have easier access to my HDMI ports as well as given me two extra sockets, so it gets top marks.

Stopped working after a few months

This is a tricky one for me to review. The switch works very well (that is why I am giving it 5 stars), but there is a caveat. I wanted to use this with a Sky HD STB and because the Sky box is not wired as it should be (they refuse to do it a per the laid out standard) one pin remains live at all times. The upshot is that because this pin is live the switcher hangs on to that device rather than automatically switching as it should. This is NOT a problem with the switcher, rather it is an issue with Sky STB boxes. If you are wanting to switch a Sky STB you have been warned!

I bought this because I have a Fire TV Stick, Apple TV and Chromecast and only one spare HDMI port. Unfortunately, it didn't work - nothing came through and no lights came on. It needs the HDMI inputs to provide power and it looks like none of these provide enough. Another seller on Amazon has what looks like the same product with an answer that explains this, but no real solution. I sent mine back and Amazon gave me a refund straight away on the grounds of incompatibility.

HDMI switch is fine and works well, The Hamilton cable is not a good enough quality, too much interference.

Works brilliantly! I bought it to add Apple TV to our existing set up (Freeview satellite). It was very easy to set up (and I’m someone who never really like to read instructions, preferring just to use common sense!). It’s simple to swap from one input to another; just click the button. The lead is long enough so that the device can be placed where you want. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.
