Giottos Rocket Air Blower
This is an excellent product in my opinion. I originally bought a small grey 'puffer' style blower (with a brush on the end) from a local photographic shop, with the aim of removing a couple of small hairs that had managed to find their way into the mirror mechanism of my digital SLR. Rather than clearing away the hairs, the 'puffer' actually deposited yet more hairs from its brush. The small 'puffer' was absolutely useless. On looking through the Internet, I came across the Giottos Rocket Air Blower which I thought I would try. The product delivers a good, strong puff of air, which is still gentle enough to remove hair/dust from the inside mechanism of my camera. It worked first time and all of the hair (and brush hairs that the inferior puffer had deposited) were gone. The Giottos product was definitely worth the money. In terms of its build quality, the product is built using strong, thick (but obviously flexible) black rubber. The air nozzle at the top is red rigid ABS plastic with a small hole through which the air is delivered. It can deliver both a gentle or strong puff of air, dependent on how hard you squeeze the body of the blower. In terms of application, according to the packaging, it can be used for computer and communication equipment, traditional and electrical musical instruments and photo, video and precision optical equipment. The packaging says 'Not recommended for CCD sensor cleaning'.Overall, a good, solid product and money well spent in my opinion.

Excellent air blower
Good strong air stream and long nozzle. Used it to clean sensor, mirror and AF sensor on my DLSR and there was a great improvement to its focusing - no need for any wet cleaning.

Efficient, effective, HUGE.
Before I bought the rocket blower I had a gradual build up of dust inside my camera body and was on the verge of getting it professionally cleaned. The first time I used this it cleared the dust from the camera body within two to three blows - although I have read the glowing reviews I just wasn't prepared for how efficient this thing is. Don't bother with less powerful blowers and never let a blower with a brush attached near the inside of your camera unless you want to see more dust and crap in there than you had before. The rocket blower is the best, because it is very powerful and won't introduce more dust.It is quite a big beast and will take up a large amount of space in your camera bag, so wether or not you consider this portable will depend on you and the nature of your shoot. Just be warned that this blower, even with the nozzle removed, will take up a similar amount of space as a Nikon kit lens. Unlike a lens it can be squished, but you get the picture. When storing at home, the rocket blower was designed to stand upright on its fins but mine lives in either a bag or (clean, non dusty) drawer.I'll use the rocket blower after any shoot where I've changed lenses, on both lens and camera body. I reckon this will put off the inevitable professional deep clean and all the attendant cost and trouble for quite a bit longer. Plus no-one wants to spend ages sat cloning out dust spots so if you want to save time in post production this is for you.

A sturdy product that handles and performs well
I used to find the inexpensive air blowers handled either poorly and no air power or rock-hard and difficult to use. The Giotto's Rocket-Air Blower is by far the best of the bunch. It's packaged and protected well and on use it's a breeze. The rubber is malleable yet strong, so gripping it is no problem and the power of the air coming out is impressive.I see this being an important part of my camera kit now.

Matron! It's so big!
This is currently the rudest object I own, or at least it *was* when I wrote this review originally. I didn't realise how large it was; I assumed it was the size of a pen. In fact the bulb is meaty and fist-sized. Man-sized, even. I find it impossible to squeeze it without thinking of the Carry On films. Or bull semen. It is easy to use. You insert the red tip into the appropriate orifice (but not all the way), and then you deftly squeeze the thick, black stem, and it shoots its load OF AIR. The jet isn't so powerful that it will damage anything, but you wouldn't want to shoot it into your eye. It's better than blowing with your mouth, because there's no chance of staining the target with sputum.I also have a Lenspen, which works very well on stubborn specks but is laborious, and I'm always worried that I might nudge the shutter. The two devices go well together. Of course the Rocket doesn't actually suck out the dust, it just moves it about, but as long as you make sure that you're in a relatively dust-free environment (e.g. outdoors in the alps) it should be a lot more effective than wiping the lens mount with your sleeve. Best of all, it's a great conversation-opener and it makes people smile, women especially, and that's worth more than money.
