Needs soaking to soften
This is a highly nutritious natural product. It is exactly what it says it is: unsulfured unsweetened dried papaya. I bought it because my special diet suggested it. It is very difficult if not impossible to chew. This is easily remedied by soaking a few pieces in a bowl of water for about 30 minutes. It is very pleasant then. ( I drink the water to make sure I’m not missing out on any nutrients.) I love the cute package. It brightens up my kitchen.

the smell pf yesterdays PISSY diapers was the first thing we noticed...the second thing was the lower end of the bag as it went straight into the TRASH! NEVER EVEN WANTED TO TASTE IT>>>WHEW!>>>NASTY stuff. COST US THE PRICE TO LEARN TO NEVER DO THIS AGAIN. LIVE..PAY...LEARN.

WHY would anyone buy any of the other choices? I looked until finding ONE with no sugar added....
and this product is s w e e t .... and makes water orange quickly. WHY would anyone buy any other brand.... the others have sugar added. This tastes sweet immediately... put a small piece of the product right out of the package, in mouth and chewed a bit... It is just great. Finally I have a wind up taste at night, with a little kefir... before bed... shades of Hawaii from which moved. These papaya slices are in bright orange water, a nice shade, just a few minutes after putting 20 grams in some water. I pay attention to fiber... this amount has a small enough amount to be perfect for my digestion situation, as an older person.

Hard to chew
I like that there is no added sugar or other additives, but these were very hard to chew to the point that I worried about my teeth. I've had other dried papaya that was much softer.

Great, except it's more like Papaya Jerky
The above title/headline says most of the story. The flavor is quite nice, it's a good price for such a big bag, and the nutritional information is pretty good for a dried fruit. (Not as much sugar/added sugar as the other stuff I looked at!) Despite the below, I still managed to only take a month or so to plow through it.My downgrade by a star is because unlike what you might think from dried fruit, it's pretty tough to chew. It's more like Papaya Jerky and you get a feeling (not taste) in the mouth more like you're ripping into some beef jerky than a piece of fruit. All in all it was a good product though, and I could see how some how might like the chewiness would benefit.

SECRET HACK 🤗 Papaya’s are NOT mangos! 🥭 but they mix very well!!
Mix with mangoes if you really love sweet dried fruit. But alone: Do not expect sugary sweetness: bc they’re not at all. This product perfectly delivers as this brand always has for me over the years. All bad reviews came from people who don’t understand what this is. It’s a healthy snack for people with a healthy relationship with sugar: NOT always expecting it. Super healthy too: go find out!

DO NOT BUY - INEDIBLE BY-PRODUCT - SEE PICTURES
This stuff is exactly like the rawhide that you give dogs to chew on. It looks like it and has the exact same consistency and durability.I really couldn't have imagined just how horrible the quality of the "dried papaya spears" would be when the bag arrived.I thought they were some kind of dog treat accidentally shipped to me.These are absolutely inedible. There is no papaya. This may be what is left after papaya is juiced. I don't know but this is not a product. It is most definitely a by-product.DO NOT BUY THESE! YOU WILL REGRET IT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED WITH PICTURES!
