I paid more for a Lecia Disto D110 which felt cheap and limited. It was so light, could only be used indoors, had a low-quality screen. I just wasn’t satisfied, so I returned it and purchased this Bosch laser measurer. The colour screen is nice and the device itself is accurate. I’m yet to go through all of the advanced features, but overall, and so far, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and I’m glad I took advantage of the Amazon spring sale.

Feels very well made, the rubber over-mould is great in case it gets dropped.The display is clear and it responds quickly.Indoors the laser dot is easy to see at 50m, but at 52m it refuses to measure (obviously it's only rated to, and limited to, 50m to make you buy a more expensive model).The triangulation feature using the inclinometer is impressive and accurate (my older laser didn't have that).If you buy the Bosch USB rechargeable battery pack for it (which I did) be aware that it only has about 1/3 the capacity of a couple of regular Duracell batteries (I checked the mAh ratings) because the rechargeable cells are smaller than AA in order to fit inside the secondary casing that fits into the space of 2xAA cells.After reading reviews of poor battery life I thought I'd use the rechargeable pack to save batteries, but I don't because it's annoying to recharge halfway through a job when regular batteries seem to last so much longer.I would have bought the longer range model, but it looks less robust (not rubberised corners) so I opted for this one. But I rarely need to measure >50m.

I have delayed buying one of these for years as my memory was that they had poor accuracy. Used same but couple of years older model belonging to my mate and it was awesome. Supper accurate and very robust. Expensive but paid for itself on the first couple of jobs.
