Propet Women's Merlin Comfort Shoe

This is a really cute shoe and a perfect color for summer. Since it is supposed to be washable, I had planned to wear it as an alternative to sandals. [I don't always want to show off my toes, but want my feet to be cool]. The Merlin style is a Mary Jane, with adjustable straps across the arch and also on the heel, so it should have been easy to fit to my size. However, the heel cup was about a half inch longer than my foot, and the shoe slipped up and down, even with straps adjusted. I usually wear a size 9M and had recently bought another Propet shoe in a similar style that fit okay. I can't say if this shoe will run 1/2 size large on everyone, but if you are on the borderline, you might consider sizing down. The comfort is great, if you like going barefoot. I'm not sure if this shoe has the support that can be found in a sturdier walking shoe. I would recommend, if you are sure about your size and want a comfortable, casual shoe for summer.

These shoes will be great for people with B or C width feet. They're beautiful, well designed, and made with good support for walking. I've been happily wearing a variety of Propet's Travel Walker II's & sandals for years & love them. I thought these would work well too because they're adjustable but it's only the back part that has adjustable straps so I have to wear them with very thick socks to take up the extra room in the middle & front parts of the shoes. When I do that, they're very comfortable so I'll get some use from them in cooler weather but won't be able to use them at all in the summer.

These shoes allow me to put in my orthodox in the shoe and fit so comfortable. I love wearing them! I have issues of swelling in my legs and feet and if I sit to long at my desk or in my car, had off and on again issues with bone spurs in my arch so these saved me as I worked that out. Not the best for pure support for a lot of walking but for me I would not walk along way in them but I do work at a office and perfect for keeping a pair at my desk for interchanging with whatever I need to do to walk to get my car, bus or train. Look great with skirts, dresses and pants. Also because they can get loose from. Wing leather, not a bad thing for not leaving marks from straps.

I purchased these shoes for a relative who is elderly, and still mobile, but uses a walker. They fit her wide foot perfectly, and she loves them. The shoe is well made and the bone color is very pretty. The soles have a good grip and the cross-strap adjusts properly. However, the fasteners on the ankle strap are Velcro and do not stick together the way they should. I think that I need to take the shoes to the shoe shop (they're a recent purchase) and get the ankle straps stitched down before they cause a problem (like a fall).

I have wide feet and so ordered a 2E. I was not sure what to expect, since I've never had the luxury of ordering a sufficiently wide shoe! The shoe was plenty wide. But I would have preferred more arch support. Because I was buying the shoe in preparation for a trip with lots of rugged walking, I decided to return this and opt for something more cushioned and with greater support.

I went through my Amazon lists and requested to return a different pair of Propet shoes, which fit fine. As I stated in my first complaint these shoes donot fit me since I had my hip operation. Now, do not laugh as I know not to wear my shoes anywhere but on my feet. My feet have gotten so skinny after my $400.00 per month medication, that these shoes are unwearable. In addition, I am 86 years young, soon to be 87 and I do not think the configuration of my tootsies will change before I leave this great world. BE KIND AND THOUGHT TO ONE ANOTHER AND LET US LIVE IN PEACE.

Length is as expected but I normally wear a D width. The regular was very ample with this shoe yet they seem to bow out at the sides near the toe area. I actually wish they had firmer sides so there was more support. They feel much like a slipper. I was thinking they might be nearly white as they appear in the picture. Not so. The bone is bone. Guess that's actually a good point but not for me.

I have had Propet' shoes before and loved them. This pair of shoes is narrow in the toe in the depth of the toe area, not narrow as opposed to wide in sizing. I have not worn them much, but will as the weather gets colder. I really needed 1/2 larger but that was not an option. I will order this brand of shoe again. Good Quality.

Nice comfortable shoe to wear with casual clothes. The whole day is better when your feet feel fine and these fit the bill. Thanks, Amazon, for carrying this shoe brand.
