Timeguard TGBT4 Electronic Boost Timer, 3 kW - White

Have been using this time for a while now, probably nearly two years. It was an easy replacement for the old on / off switch and I'm no electrician. Very easy to use and no more expensive electricity bills because the emersion heater was left on for hours. Every home needs one.

A well made product, was just what I required.

Bought this to replace basic on/off swith on our immersion heater as I kept forgetting to switch ours off! Now have peace if mind that it switches off automatically. Has boosts of 15 & 30 mins and 1 & 2 hours (could really do with a 45min boost for our size tank). Easy to install for those comfortable with electrical wiring. Looks good. Only downside for us (apart from lack of 45min boost) is that the boost button light is quite bright and is constantly on, the switch is in a cupboard in our bedroom and the light can be seen shining around the edge of the door at night!. Think a bit of black tape over the Button might be the solution. Over all would recommend this product for safety and peace of mind.

Easy to fit if you have basic knowledge of electrics though there is no connection for earth wirse so I connected to the metal box ,I also thought a little over priced for what is .Once fitted easy to use.

Marvellous simple install and good value..

We've all been there - you leave the house and the wife turns to you and says "Did I leave the <insert something that could burn the house down here> on?". Inevitably she hasn't, but you still get the rigmarole of going back into the house and re-checking everything. Since we've moved into a bigger house the list has grown to include the immersion heater.This took about 15 minutes to fit, and has removed the immersion heater from the "did I leave it on list". If you've never wired in or replaced a switch before you may want to do some research or ask an electrician to come in and help you out (you need to know which cables are the switch live/neutral etc).To top it off it's got a cool blue glow around the "boost" button, so every time you open the cupboard you can find the switch, and also get reminded at how awesome you are at electrics.

Easy to install and works fine.Don't like.Looks, Boost button backlight always on whilst connect to power. Unit always using some electricity.

What a great solution. I fitted this to a heated bathroom towel rail and works so very well. I can switch it on knowing that I won't realise 6 hours later that I forgot to turn it off again. You can see at a glance how long the heater will be on for.If there is a down-side at all, the indicators on the display are relatively bright and the bottom one is on continuously, this however provides a perfect "night light" for the bathroom.UPDATE:After months of trouble -free use as a towel rail controller, I've just fitted a second unit to replace the standard immersion heater switch. No more "discoveries" in the morning that the immersion has been left on all night AGAIN !Highly recommended.
