PelicanProtector | Samsung Galaxy Note8 Case (Black/Light Grey)

Had this on my Note8 now for 10 minutes and love it, had a Pelican case on my Note4 and it's very rugged but buttons were hard to push. This one on Note8 is a lot easier and smoother, didn't add much weight, phone is really light for how powerful it is. Case is A++++++!

My employer issued me a Galaxy Note8 and I needed a case that could stand up to some fieldwork. These Pelican Protector cases are normally $40-$50; I'd say they are worth even that price, but I paid about $9 for this which is fantastic. Of course the Note8 is a few years old now, so this case is only cheap because they're selling off their leftover stock, but I'm still very happy with it. The case is protective without being overly bulky, and it looks rugged and professional. Buttons work fine, S-Pen pops out fine, and the fingerprint sensor is just as awkward as it is without a case.

So this is my third phone case from Pelican. My first was for the Note 7 and my second was for the Galaxy S7. I work for the Air Force, so I'm all too familiar with the Pelican brand as they make all the protective cases for our equipment. Once I learned they make phone cases, it was a no brainer, nothing but quality. So the only negative I will mention will be with the Samsung brand phone as I am not a fan of the curve egdes, make it very difficult for me to hold onto the phone by the sides (The note 4 is the perfect design in my opinion) but I like the features and the S Pen that Samsung does. This phone case is a perfect balance of protection and thickness. So the softer shock absorbing material is integrated with the harder plastic, it not 2 separate pieces like some cheaper cases. So the case adds just enough thickness to the bezel so you can actually hold the phone by its sides and not worry about dropping it, but it not a brick, there is some curve to the case making it nice to hold in you hand still. All the holes in the case are perfectly placed and cut. It also makes it harder to hit the Bixby button which is nice when pulling it out of my pocket, but button are still manageable to press when you do mean too. As a guy, I enjoy the colors the offer with no fancy patterns. Lots of room to add your choice of kickstand or other finger holding accessories. Just a greeat case, I personally will be with pelican for life.

After using multiple company's and designs... This is the golden case... Kinda expensive but the company stands behind the case.The case protects from drops and even has an edge on the note8 so that if dropped face first the screen doesn't make contact. Case is made with a hard plastic and a rubber softer (grey in most cases) bumper around the edges... Makes it easier to one hand and slides around lessThere are other cases in the market that are heavy duty... But they do so and block features... Like wireless charging and access to buttons or the pen hole. This one doesn't effect any of that. Well designed for the professional... Or a nice case for everyday use.There is a space on the back of the case if you wanted to personalize it more with a sticker... Company doesn't talk about it but if you want to make it pop... The harder black area is sticker friendly.

This is currently the case on my phone. It doesn't provide as much protection as the Otterbox Defender but it is slimmer and the buttons work very well. I don't use a screen protector so I don't know which ones will work with this case. I use this case with the Nite ize XXL hard shell phone case and it slips in easily.

Usually hear good things about Pelican, however this case was disappointing. There is a chip in the back of the case and the bottom is showing a red coloration, after less than a week of owning it. I only carry it in Jean's, so not sure how that happened, but again a bit of a disappointment.

I've always heard good things on pelican products and was spending hours apon hours trying to find a good shell case for my note 8 (which by the way is pretty hard if you ask me.) Finally found this one and it has been awesome.I like that it has a lip at the top and bottom bezels so the phone doesn't lay flat on its screen. It's a very defined lip, so I like it.I'm really basic on colors so I like the gray and black finish.Also a good feature is the rubber lining on the back that prevents the phone from sliding which is definitely a plus.Even though I do not choose to use the wireless charging, it does still work. I'm probably the only person you will hear saying I like wired charging better.The buttons work flawless and the holes to get to the headphone, charging port, and s pen are perfect size and s pen is easy to remove.All in all it's a great case and have no complaints. Definite win for whoever buys it. Cheers!

I keep my life as well as my families on my phone. This case has literally saved my our lives! It's super durable. I drop it on a regular (just clumsy). This case totally protects my phone. I've had this case for nearly two years. Not ever a crack.
