Why did you choose this product over others?:Fantastic piece of kit for a diyer, made flex stripping so much quicker and easier, no cables were cut too deep.

Great tool. Speeds up stripping almost all wires on site. Just make sure you get the left or right handed one as appropriate, it does make a difference!!

Easy to use , effective

Firstly, many thanks to Knipex for thinking of us 'Left-Handers', it is much appreciated, as I often have to return tools that I am unable to use. Thankfully that does not include this tool.This ErgoStrip tool does what it says on the tin and it does it pretty well but it does have its limitations……..I sometimes have to take care not to cut too deeply when cutting around the outer sheath on a cable.Also I occasionally have to put this tool down because it just won’t do what I require and select another.The catch to lock and unlock the two halves of the stripper is a bit of a fiddly nuisance. It is closed when you want it open and vice versa, but it is what it is.Lastly, I’ve never been a great fan of stripping tools where I have to match/guess the cable size to the multiple stripping holes along the stripping tool……. Give me an ‘Automatic’ Stripper any day!All that said, this tool is very acceptable, better than most, it excels at cutting down the outer sheath of many round cables, and I wouldn’t be without it.

Had so many multicore cables to strip in work, I'm old school using a knife but this tool is easy and safer.Much smaller in the hand than expected and at first seemed over priced until I used it. Stripping small lengths off the end 100mm or less easy but when you need to strip back 300mm + to go from gland to terminals this is the tool.Take care not a lot of pressure is necessary (super sharp) my advice have a go on some off cuts first if not you may go too deep and damage some of the cores!Not used the wire stripper element of the tool yet but overall a definite game changer, well done Knipex.

There's no getting away from the fact that this is rather expensive for what you get.However, I've now owned this for 2 years and it has proved its worth many times.Its great for stripping the outer insulation off of twin and earthThe slitting feature is really useful when you need to strip long lengths.It's also one of the few strippers that really works well with co-ax cable.I was worried that the blades would become too blunt to be of use after a while, but 2 years on, they're still working great without any issues.Overall it's still in perfect condition, it's well designed and tough, (always make sure you close it before you put away).So, yes, it is expensive, but if you need to do a lot of cable stripping, of different sizes, it's a good choice.Recommended.I hope you found this review helpful.

Great little tool, should have bought this ages ago.

It’s a Knipex tool - usual quality and good function. It simply works and makes cable stripping and preparation quick and easy. t’s expensive but the benefit outweighs the cost.
