Basic Microphones

A good little pocket book (it fits in the inside pocket of my jacket) on the subject of microphones.As a starter it's perfect.A glossary of technical terms is included at the back of the book, to help the total novice to understand what is being said.The book has been designed to be the first step into the field for those who know nothing. Hence this book is not for the expert, the professional, or the knowledgeable and experienced amateur (not even if he's amiable) . . . unless you have an extraordinarily bad memory.

Bought for my techie son he who opened it just before dinner and had to be forcibly made to stop reading and eat.I haven't a clue but he says it's really interesting and helpful and now he understands why xcxccc! does cvcvncnvc! when he connects up xxxxttt! and all he has to do is xxxxx and yyyyy and it will be fine. ok. Also he says it just fits nicely in a pocket.

Great pocket sized book explaining all the basics of microphones- I really loved it, but might be a bit basic for those with some experience in this area.

Paul White is a great source of knowledge and I can't recommend his books enough!

This little booklet carries a lot of useful information, aimed at anyone new to the art of stage sound, very good read.

Book is slightly dated and very basic, only for beginners..
