LG Minibeam PF1000U Portable Projector (Full HD, LED, Ultra short throw, 150,000:1 contrast, 1000 lumens)

Very happy with purchase. I don't have much experience with projectors but this one for the price I think is great value. I paid 319 on discount on amazon. I am able to get a 70+ inch 720p screen on my ceiling using a normal camera tripod, connect to bluetooth speakers and have a great cinema experience for a lot less than a tv. As long as your not planning to use this during a bright day with the blinds open then the picture quality is great. The fan noise is not an issue, using the ceiling or white wall as a screen works great, the bluetooth for speakers works perfectly with no voice sync issues. I use my firestick with SPMC (kodi) for movies. The auto keystone, which keeps the picture straight if your using the projector at an angel works very well. The remote is good.One thing to note that this model does not have the built in TV tuner as shown in the pictures. I was aware of this before I bought so still 5 stars for me. If you are looking for a great value for money projector that you can use for home cinema, is portable and great bluetooth streaming audio you won't go wrong here.If you have any questions about the projector put them up and ill try to get back to you as soon as possible

I am really pleased with this projector. It was great value for money in the sale. It really delivers an excellent picture and benefits from led technology to give 30000 hours lamp life! Also, it comes with a 3 year warranty.I have had no issues with focus. The picture, even at 100" is focused at the top and bottom of the screen (attached photo is a 100" image projected on to a magnolia wall, at middle eco mode, and the image is great!).The only thing to be aware of is the brightness. I find in a dark room, a 100" picture is great, even at the middle eco mode (quieter fan). In a room with a little light, a 80" picture still looks good. It probably would not be as good in a bright room so I would advise looking at alternatives if you are purchasing for a bright room. However, for my use, in a darkish environment, it is the best £699 I have ever spent.Fan noise is not too bad, considering that the projector is in front of where you sit. The eco mode is good as the noise is reduced but picture still good in a dark environment.3D mode from Blu-ray player works really well. I had to purchase some glasses but they were quite cheap. the effect is great. For some reason, I can't get my Sky 3D to work but will try again soon.Overall, an excellent projector for a moderately light or dark environment.

This review is about the MINIBMEAM NANO model.After a problematic start, once I got this projector working, I'm really impressed.The instructions are brief and not great for someone who isn't too techy like me!Initially I could not get this to maintain a wireless connection with my Windows Lumia 650 phone and for the brief time I did manage the picture wasn't great. It cast a great image from my Surface 4 but a bit hit and miss getting the wireless connected initially. For these reasons I almost returned the item.I sought some advice from an electrical store who recommended that a Microsoft Display Adaptor would help fix the connection problems as it creates a strong Miracast connection. I went ahead an purchased this and plugged this in to the HDMI and USB port of the projector and I've had no problems connecting my devices since. Although this adaptor cost £50 it will work with other display devices like the TV so I hope it will serve me well and be worth the money in the long run.This tiny projector casts a great image in my small box room. From 2.5 metres away I'm getting a 1.6m widescreen image on the opposite wall and the image quality is surprisingly good. It's better in a pitch black room, however in half light (dusk with curtains open) I was very surprised that the image was still perfectly watchable. I set this up from 3m away and the quality of the image starts to drop a bit as would be expected, but still very watchable and did not detract from our enjoyment of a full length film.The colour/contrast/tint and focusing can all be adjusted which I like. The sound is not great but since you can connect your own speakers to the projecter that need not be a problem. I use my little iClever Bluetooth speaker with a cable and get really good sound. I noticed that if I connected the Bluetooth speaker directly to my laptop rather than the projector itself then there is a tiny lag in the audio at times.This projector fits in one hand and so is perfectly portable. Although I'm mostly use in my study or for family film evenings, I intend to use this projector with my phone in the garden and on camping trips. All in all very pleased with the projector in the end. I think it will give us hours of enjoyment.
