Superb instant picture camera
This is actually a rather good camera, and much more than a toy. The best thing is that you easily and quickly get to share and see physical photographs, a bit retro and to hold something tangible is missing in the digital age! A definate wow factor. The image quality is what you`d expect from a lower price compact and actually pretty good. Exposure indoors is good, the party mode is essentially a slightly longer exposure than standard flash sync and brings out background detail. Double exposure is simplicity itself. Film comes in a plastic slab and is very easy to load, think old school 110 or 126 film cartridges as a comparison in film loading. Film cost in my view is reasonable - compare the real cost of ink jet or dye sub paper and consumables. You see the start of the image in around 30 secs and fully developed a couple of minutes later. Ergonomics are OK, there are 2 shutter buttons for landscape and portrait formats, tripod screw is on the portrait rather than landscape aspect, which is a bit different. Looking through the viewfinder I'd guess that focal length is about 35-40mm in APS-C, or roughly 28mm in 35mm film. Update 09 Dec 2013: When I purchased this camera from Jaz-UK via Amazon it came with 2 packs of film and a UK plug and arrived very quickly. After running a few packs of film through it I'm still pleased with the camera.

AMAZING
When I got this camera delivered, I was very surprised by the 20 shots of free film that was included because I didn't expect it, and what a pleasant surprise that was! Also, reading some of the reviews, I learnt that the camera supposedly did not come with a UK charger, so I was prepared to use an adapter. When I opened the box, there was a UK charger and of course I was delighted. Being 16, I like to capture memorable moments and I thought this camera would be excellent to use for exactly that purpose. I was proved right and I could not have been any happier. The camera's photo quality is truly amazing and much better than I expected. I would definitely recommend to any year group. If you're interested in a compact, easy to use, instant camera, as well as being very ascetically pleasing in looks, with a cool, funky, retro style, then this would be the perfect product for you!

Its all about the fun factor
Like most Fuji camera kit, this instax camera is a blast! Its unusual, fun to use and the prints are actually quite good as long as expectations are realistic and you choose setting options fairly carefully. The camera is easy to use with just enough in the way of features and adjustments to keep a serious shooter happy too. Although made of plastic the camera has the Fuji family trademark look and build quality is perfectly adequate. The retro/modern look is appealing and eye-catching and sits alongside the X-series cameras nicely. It is also compact enough to slip in a bag and take along with barely a thought, which is what you want with this type of camera. I tend to find that prints come out best when the "darker" setting for the basic exposure compensation is used, otherwise they can be a bit overexposed with washed out colours, but after a few shots a shooter will decide what works for them. They are quite detailed and have decent, but not always accurate colour, with that very analogue look of slight ageing or fading. This variation and slight uncertainty of the final print also adds to the appeal of the shooting experience. Prints are small but as long as you check out the specifications and appearance of prints before you buy, you should see if they are "good enough" for you. The prints seem to hold up well and take plenty of handling. I am sure one would survive very happily tucked in a wallet or pinned to a wall board. I like to keep them in a little sleeve album so they are easy for anyone to look at. The flash works well for fill and the camera is easy to use in both landscape and portrait orientations due to the dual shutter buttons, fixed focal length lens and fixed aperture. The viewfinder is rather tiny and you need to align your eye exactly to see properly through it, but for the type of photography this camera is for, it does its job fine. There is something appealing and tangible about getting a real print straight away and my little boy is fascinated by the camera and even more fascinated by watching the image appear from nothing over a minute or two. The whole thing about this camera is fun, pure and simple. Fuji seem to have cracked the fun factor in their digital and instax products very successfully. For serious photographers it is also bit of fun but could have considerable use for travel and street photography where you seek consent to take images of strangers. With this camera in your bag you can take an image on your serious camera then snap one with the instax to give to the subject as an appreciation of their cooperation. Many people do not have any photos of themselves and consider it a valuable gift. You cannot afford to go crazy snapping away as the price of shooting is fairly high, but film shooting has always been that way and in some respects that is also part of its appeal....you become selective and think about what you shoot. I tend to shoot perhaps a couple of images each time I take the camera out and shoot the rest with digital. You can also end up wasting a few shots by being experimental with settings such as dual exposure, or misjudging the camera limits and shots not coming out as planned, but rarely are they truly ruined. If you shop around and wait for prices to drop you can buy a couple or more packs for a reasonable price so each shot works out around 60 pence a pop. Overall I would highly recommend this camera and the instax family as a whole. They take you back to the fun experience of shooting with a bit of unpredictability and the joy of instant prints. Just make sure that you are aware of the limitations and are prepared to buy enough film to make it a worthwhile purchase.

Amazing camera - came with UK charger but no free film
Really love this camera. I have been wanting to buy an instant camera for ages, and after doing a lot of research I found that this was the best one for me, it has so many features such as the double exposure and the ability to do light trails. I love the way this camera looks similar to many film cameras and not like a toy, which some of the other instax cameras do. I haven't actually tried out this camera yet as mine did not come with free film... though I can no longer find where this is stated in the description, and am wondering if it has been changed. It would have been great to have recieved some free film as being 15, I bought this with my christmas money and savings, and now have had to order more film! After reading previous comments I bought my camera through Jaz-uk and I got a UK charger. It arrived a day after I bought it which was excellent. The camera came packaged well, with a strap, battery pack, charger, strap attachment and detailed instructions. Overall really happy with the camera, I really love it and I can't wait to use it, however I am disappointed that I didn't get any free film.

The coolest camera I've owned. Hands down. I'm a nostalgic kind of guy and when I grew up I always wanted one of these cameras but I couldn't afford to buy one on my own and my parents never got me one. Now that I'm older and I have some money I got one the moment I thought of a good project to use a polaroid style camera for. Also this thing really turns heads. I got this camera because I was officiating my cousin's wedding and I wanted to give them a wedding present that would be really fun for them to have right after the wedding. I got this camera with 3 double packs of film so I could take photos from the moment I got there to the end of the ceremony. I'd take the photo and stick it in the journal I bought to write the officiation speech down in and used scrap book photo corners to hold it in. They loved it because it provided an instant wedding album that they could look at right away. It wasn't as great as the professional one, but regardless a very cool thing to have on hand. Now my crafting aside, this camera takes photos on a polaroid style film that is about the size of a credit card (that includes the whites). The image itself is a little smaller. The moment you take a photo though you get that vintage feel of the photo. It's also one of those exhilarating feelings when you take photos with this camera because it's 60 cents a shot pretty much and you don't know how the next photo is going to take. Will it turn out? Who knows until you shake it until it shows up. A lot of people at the wedding complimented the camera and some wanted a photo they could keep. The nice thing about the small card sized polaroid is that it's easy to pocket without having to bend or be bent in a pocket. I'm not going to give this camera any negatives stars for the quality of image because it is solely based on the user taking photos with it. This camera is very forgiving when it comes to taking photos (selfies, portraits, action, etc.). I got this particular model because it has settings that can adjust based on the photos you are taking (such as action for kids running around or dancing). The camera itself does correct itself a bit when it comes to distance pictures, but photos within 10 feet of the camera does produce some of the best photos. The camera does come with a flash, but also does have options to make photos lighter or darker based on the environment they you are taking photos in. TL:DR - Conclusions on this camera are thus: If you are person who is nostalgic for a time when photo taking meant taking a photo meant wasting a resource, but enjoyed the suspense and surprise of that kind of risk taking then this is a great camera for you. It's also a camera that is guaranteed to turn a lot of heads. My generation (kids of the late 80s and 90s) may remember them, older generations have nearly forgotten about them, and the younger generation most likely don't even know about them (quite a few of those I've met or known, haven't). It produced a lot of smiles and "Oh, that's so cool." Or the funnier responses I got that weekend of photo taking was "so the printer is built in?" at which point, being a little bit of a photo nerd I had to explain it to them. TL:DR of the TL:DR - Buy this camera if you want nostalgic, classic looking photos that a person can walk away with without having to friend them on facebook or e-mail them to share the image.

Everything arrived safely and the condition of the camera is brand new, works well too. A good buy as the price is cheaper than others in the market!
