Love this pattern
Great basic pattern, easy to follow and use

Easy to sew, but slightly lower rise than expected
I've only recently begun to learn how to sew, and expected this would be a nice and easy pattern to turn an old cotton duvet into a pair of pyjama shorts for the summer.The pattern itself is very easy to follow, and most of it went very smoothly. The only problem is that they appear to be slightly lower rise than shown in the photo, or not geared towards someone who carries more weight in their hips and buttocks, even at larger sizes. When made as per instructions, they ended up on my upper hip rather than around my abdomen as pictured. As an inexperienced sewist, this may have partly been my error, but when pinning the pattern directly together around myself, I had a similar issue.Overall, a good friendly pattern to start off with, but if you have fuller hips and buttocks, the pattern may need a bit of extra work. Definitely make a muslin!

Not great for a novice
I found this pattern difficult to follow as a novice - fortunately I managed to find a video online that I could follow.I am sure someone more experienced would find this a doddle but for a beginner I found it less than beginner-friendly.I would not buy a Burda pattern again for this reason at the moment. I did however end up with a lovely pair of shorts at the end of it!

Good pattern for ladies' trousers and shorts
I haven't used the pattern yet as I bought it to make summer trousers for myself and teenage granddaughter later on. There is a good range of sizes.
