Can I use carrier oils directly on my skin?

Yes, carrier oils are safe to use directly on the skin. They provide natural nourishment, hydration, and protection. However, always perform a patch test before full application, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

How should I store carrier oils?

Store carrier oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the bottle tightly sealed to prevent oxidation and maintain freshness. For long-term storage, refrigeration can help extend shelf life.

What’s the difference between carrier oils and essential oils?

Carrier oils are natural base oils extracted from seeds, nuts, or plants and can be used directly on the skin. Essential oils are highly concentrated and aromatic extracts that must be diluted with carrier oils before topical use.

Can carrier oils be used for massage or aromatherapy?

Absolutely! Carrier oils are ideal for massage and aromatherapy. They provide a smooth glide on the skin, deeply moisturize, and help distribute essential oils evenly when blended for relaxation or skincare routines.

Do carrier oils have scents or benefits of their own?

Yes, many carrier oils have a light natural scent and unique benefits. For example, jojoba balances oil production, argan nourishes dry skin, and sweet almond softens and soothes. Each oil offers distinct nutrients and properties for skin and hair.
