ASUS VK228H-CSM 21.5" Full HD 1920x1080 HDMI 1.0M web cam (Fixed) Monitor

The color and resolution are great. Exactly as described. No issues with pixelation or ghost defects.I have no data on the camera. Haven't yet used it.The only thing about it that is disappointing is the sound. I really had higher hopes for the sound from the monitor when hooked up via HDMI.It took me a bit to figure out the menu system and turn the volume on the monitor all the way up. Even at 100% it is not what I would expect. I set this up in my travel trailer and sit about four feet away to watch movies. The sound isn't good enough for movie watching at four feet. Or I'm deaf - could be that too...I ended up getting a blue tooth speaker that I sync to my chromebook for the sound. I put the speaker under the monitor and that works well.If Amazon lets me upload pictures again, I'll add a couple.

I purchased this monitor about a year ago for someone who wanted a monitor with an integral webcam. I've run into two issues:1. As others have said, there is no microphone. Really odd and I must admit that it never occurred to me to research this. I assumed that if there was a camera there would also be a mic. Just goes to show you the danger of assumptions.2. More recently, I decided to try to use the monitor as a second monitor for an iMac. I purchased a thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable and found it did not fit. My fault but if you read the description it claims to have both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. It doesn't. Actually if I had looked more carefully I would have realized that the table of features shows the VK model as being 27" where it's actually 21.5. So the table is not correct.It's an OK monitor and I still hope to get it working with the iMAC. But please be aware that you will need an external mic if you want to use if for webcasts or Skype. And if you want to connect to the HDMI port, be sure you have an HDMI cable not a DisplayPort cable. The two connectors look almost exactly alike.

It's a nice pc Led Monitor-21.5in with hdmi;dvi hookups and u can use 3 monitors if like that panarama vue. This was talkingto me......said ,hey buy me! buy me! i came back to this one and had to get it. Right size for what i wanted and could havebigger wider views of my email;movie's;tv shows,etc. I have trouble with my eyes and need larger type and screen so i don'thave my eyes watering and burning after couple of hours.One thing i noticed was the model # It starts with my intials when i was single! It was fate!This comes with multiple changes to screen and modes.Has speakers too but i use my Logitech ones had for 6yrs.It works great with no missing pixels. no shaking and everything is clear.You can check on the setup thru a manual andit helps to remember the button placement to change the brightness, or other things. I keep forgetting. ugh.So it's a nice monitor for price....if want webcam u need to spend couple bucks more! Otherwise get this on sale, or notstill a great price. Cant go wrong.Amazon got this to me in great shape, was packed well, and the carry case inside wasperfect for keeping it undamaged in shipment. On time delivery also.

I bought this for a dual monitor setup and they are great so far. I did have an issue getting the monitors to setup for dual screens and the issue ended up being having to update the driver's for the second monitor which was a big pain in the butt to figure out. The camera in the monitor works well however the speakers are absolute crap. Buy a set of speakers separately if you're really planning to rock out without headphones on. I wear my headphones all day so it doesn't bother me much. Also be aware that this monitor DOES NOT COME WITH A MICROPHONE!!! You would think it would because it comes with a camera and speakers but you'll need to buy one separately. I saw NUMEROUS conflicting reviews and spec listings on newegg, amazon, etc and when I finally got the speakers I had to suck it up and buy a microphone (which I ended up really liking anyway). Not a huge issue but annoying none the less.

This monitor is pretty nice. I have it hooked up via hdmi and the picture is plenty good for my standards. it came with all the cords except hdmi, as was expected (dvi, vga, usb cable for webcam, auxiliary cable). Stand is stable, has wall mount holes but I have yet to mount it. I am planning on buying a second one and getting a dual screen mount for my desk.The sound quality is just horrible. I did not purchase it for the speakers however. Let's face it if you care enough about the sound you either own some speakers or are planning on buying some, so don't let that sway you on a monitor.All in all a great monitor at a decent price.

If you need a small and lightweight, but still fully-functioning, monitor that you can use on a kitchen/dining table, then shove in a closet when there are guests over, this is it. Six pounds, vent at top is a convenient handle, but it still has all the Full HD resolution of a bigger monitor. As my employer is shutting down its Manhattan office and most of us who don't want to commute to New Jersey are opting to work from home from what are usually small apartments, most of us are opting for this. We get all the resolution and webcam goodness of our big Viewsonic office monitors in a size much more suited to NYC apartment dwellers.

I originally ordered a ASUS VZ229H and was very happy with the picture quality (out of the box) but discovered it lacked a headphone port. So I contacted Amazon and asked to return it (my cost of $10 return shipping, which was fair) and ordered this VK228 model instead. The picture (out of the box) was very washed out, and nothing I could do with settings (the hotkeys are impossible) changed it. I called ASUS for help and the rep concluded it must be defective. So I had another sent from Amazon. same result. My picture shows the 229 on the left with crisp color and detail and the 228 on the right, all washed out.So I have returned BOTH 229s and am keeping the 228 and ordering a $20 headphone USB adapter. I dislike permanent accessories, but the picture quality is so good.The 229 seems to have worked for lots of other people but it was incompatible with my Windows 10 NUK.

Good monitor. Has cam too.

We purchased this monitor so we could use it to Skype with our daughter. It has a good built in HD camera, but no microphone, so it is necessary to install an external microphone. it would be a lot more useful if it had a USB microphone along with the camera.
