Good product
This is a very potent quercetin product - standard quercetin has poor absorption in the body, so something must be added to aid the absorption into the bloodstream. The pytosome technooogy does the trick. I also take milk thistle from Swanson vitamins that is made by the same Italian company that makes the quercetin phytosome - so I would expect great results over time with this product.

pure Quercetin, a powerful antioxidant
Quercetin is one of the newer nutritional supplements. It's a plant flavonol found in many plant sources, including onions, tomatoes, and berries. Various health claims have been made for it, but some say these claims are inconclusive. I take Quercetin "just in case."Healthy Origins offers 500 mg Quercetin per (1 capsule) serving. That's a common amount.Helsiko and Naturebell also offer 500 mg per capsule. On the low end, Nucur offers 250 mg per capsule. Omogs offers 300 mg per capsule. But there's no clear recommended daily requirement, so who knows what's enough?Healthy Origins claims that its "Quercetin Phytosome" is a "patented" form that has 20 times the bioavailability of standard Quercetin extract. I don't know if that's true. I do know that "patented" simply means that it's a new and unique process, not that it's better. For what it's worth, Helsiko, Naturebell, and Nucur derive their Quercetin from Quercetin Dihydrate. Omogs doesn't say.Healthy Origins offers its "patented" Quercetin and nothing else.By contrast, Omogs offers more additional ingredients than any competing brand: Loquat Leaf Extract 20 mg; Chinese Yam Extract 10 mg; Y-aminobutyric Acid 10mg; Carrot Extract 10 mg; Pear Extract 10 mg.That's a lot of stuff. It all sounds natural, and likely isn't bad.Helsiko offers 100mg of Bromelain per capsule. Bromelain is an enzyme extract that's derived from pineapples and aids in protein digestion. Bromelain assists in the absorption of Quercetin, which is important because Quercetin has "low bioavailability" (i.e., the body absorbs it poorly).Nucur also has Bromelain -- 200 mg per serving (2 capsules). The same amount per capsule as Helsiko.Omogs and Naturebell contain no Bromelain. People who are sensitive to pineapples might wish to opt for one of those.Nucur also has 200 mg of European Elderberry, 200 mg Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid), and 1 mg of Black Pepper Extract per serving (2 capsules). Elderberries and Black Pepper both have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Nucur is the only one of these Quercetin supplements to offer the above.Healthy Origins has that shade of pale canary yellow which is proper for Quercetin (see my photos). It's as good as any other Quercetin.

Enabled me to quit taking Zyrtec
I only recently became aware of Quercetin. It is an excellent antioxidant, with all the benefits those provide. However, Quercetin has been proven to also be a powerful antihistamine, often providing complete relief from seasonal allergy symptoms. I take a Zyrtec daily during allergy season (which is about 8 months where I live). If I miss a dose, I can tell within a few hours. I was excited at the possibility of maybe being able to substitute a natural supplement for a medication. I did not get my hopes up, because most supplements don't really do what they claim to do, or anything at all for that matter. It has been some time since I substituted a daily dose of Healthy Origins Quercetin for Zyrtec, and I still have no allergy symptoms. I really can't believe it works that well! This is packaged in the USA, but it's unclear where it's actually made. A likely country is Italy, as that is where Indena S.p.A. is located, and they seem to be the company behind this product. If so, being actually made in the E.U. is great news for those of us trying to avoid putting anything into our bodies that is made in China, due to the unreliability of quality controls and inaccurate labeling in that country.I like that Healthy Origins puts the full dose in a single capsule. I tried another brand who advertised 500 mg per serving, but you had to take two capsules to get a "serving."The only negative is that it is quite expensive. However, to me it's worth it as it allows me to substitute a natural product for a pharmaceutical but get the same efficacy.

20x bioavailability over standard quercetin
Standard quercetin has very poor bioavailability, with only around 20% absorbed. Quercetin phytosome (Quercefit) completely solves that issue. With 20x more bioavailability than standard quercetin, it is one of the most bioavailable forms on the market. I primarily take quercetin for allergies, immune support, and cardiovascular benefits. It hasn't made a tremendous difference in alleviating my allergies, but the research is solid and quercetin has enough well-studied health benefits that I like to regularly take it.Quercefit has been clinically studied at 500mg/day, and demonstrated benefits for things like immune support, allergies, and exercise performance. So the 500mg/capsule dosage in this product is excellent.Thoughts:Quercefit is currently the best quercetin on the market, because it's the most bioavailable form there is. I've used a number of high bioavailability quercetins like EMIQ, quercetin + bromelain, but neither feel as effective as quercetin phytosome.*Note: Quercetin phytosome is 40% quercetin by weight, so we can assume you're getting 200mg quercetin per serving. At 20x bioavailability, that's the equivalent of taking 4 grams quercetin, or likely just 1 or 2 grams quercetin + bromelain (Because bromelain greatly improves quercetin bioavailability). So in theory, you can just take a higher dosage of quercetin + bromelain and get the same results as the Quercefit.
