I love this. Great coverage. Leaves skin feeling soft and looking smooth.

So what is a Cushion Foundation? It's a little sponge that's been soaked with a small amount of watered-down foundation. It comes in a dinky mirrored compact, with an applicator like a foam powder puff. You bop the puff on the sponge, it picks up a bit of foundation, you dab this on your face and spread it around with the puff. It's basically the same as applying foundation with a damp cosmetic sponge, which we should all be doing but mostly don't. It's got novelty value and, should you want to carry foundation around with you, is a lot neater and cleaner than tubes and sponges in your bag. I found Ivory a decent shade for my averagely fair, British skin. The foundation's matte. This method of application gives a light coverage, but I did manage reasonable camouflage of my dark under-eye circles by sticking my finger into the sponge and dabbing a bit extra on. The single compact's fairly cheap and fun. I wouldn't keep buying these: apart from anything else, that's a lot of plastic waste if you're throwing each one out as it gets used up. This tiny amount of makeup won't last long at all, but I can't see why you wouldn't wash the sponge out and refill it. I might try that!

POSITIVES: I love cushion foundations because they are so easy to apply and this is no different. The coverage is light/medium but it definitely buildable for those that want a fuller coverage. Leaves skin looking smooth and even. Doesn't cling to dry spots/texture. NEGATIVES: I chose the palest shade - ivory - and it was far too orange. It then oxidised even further as the day wore on. Limited shades available is a big negative! It does come off on fingers if you touch your face. TAKE AWAY: The main problem I had with this was the colour. My face is a little bit darker than my neck, so with the lightest shade being slightly orange, it didn't work for me. However, if you have a different complexion I'm sure this would be beautiful on you. Worth the money for some people, but sadly not for me.

It’s good. Just press the pad in to the jar. And wipe across face. Good coverage. Just top up on go when needed. It does last long on your skin. Have not had to top up. It’s on from morning till time to wash off for bed. Just right size for handbag to.

Perfect colour perfect product

I like this, always loved Maybelline product since a teen, they always perform well. This is a lovely foundation, but use less than you think you need, then build up as required. I have a fair skin and this one was a good match. I would say it's a medium coverage. I finish with a light dust of Maybelline 24 hr matte powder, lasts about 8 hours.

I had to seek advice from my friends who are make up artists and said the look was drying my face out, revealing wrinkles I didn’t even know I had. They said based on my moisturising steps to prepare my skin, the finish shouldn’t leave this hair spray plastic film that makes me look like a dried apricot. I’ll be using it as a contour only because it doesn’t even match my complexion anyway. Absolutely stunning grip to build your look but be warned. Cannot recommend. Sorry maybelline. I was born with better skin and you ruined what dewy youth I naturally have.

Nach langer Suche und viel ausgegebenem Geld, habe ich für meine schwierige Mischhaut Cushion Foundations entdeckt. Das Dream Cushion von Maybelline (Farbe 21 - Nude) hat mich gleich überzeugt, da es alles mitbringt wonach ich suche: Eine ganz leichte, flüssige Konsistenz mit ordentlicher Deckkraft (anders zum Beispiel als die Cushion Foundation von Nivea, die SEHR glowy und feuchtigkeitsspendend ist und kaum deckt). Ich habe sehr texturierte Haut mit vielen Pickelchen und Rötungen, Pigmentflecken und sowohl fettigen als auch trockenen Hautstellen. Die Foundation lässt sich über meiner Feuchtigkeitscreme ganz einfach auftragen und verteilen (sowohl mit dem mitgeschickten Schwämmchen, als auch mit einem Beauty Blender) und hat ein Satin Finish, was sehr gut meine Unreinheiten verdeckt ohne zu matt zu wirken. Das Makeup sinkt ganz natürlich in die Haut ein, bleibt den ganzen Tag 'unsichtbar' auf dem Gesicht und sammelt sich nicht in den Poren oder Fältchen. Bronzer, Rouge usw. kann man einfach drüber auftragen und ich benötige kein Settingpuder mehr, da kaum Fettigkeit durch die Foundation durchdringt. Richtig super, und ich werde mir weitere Farben zulegen für meine Sommerbräune!
