Chalk Paint Powder DIY for 2 litres of superb Chalk Paint

I have used chalk paints and never been happy with their finish or ease of application.This powder was a revelation. Mixed it to a soft dropping consistency with water as I didn't want to dilute the paint too much and then added it gradually to the paint mixing each addition thoroughly.Easy to paint and the second coat went on smoothly as well no irritating graininess which I have had with the Rustoleum chalk paint.Yet to test for durability though.Used Farrow and Ball tester pot with 4 teaspoons of powder and it's enough for a small project.

My first time using chalk paint and I decided I wanted to make my own (!!) As advised, I mixed it with water first to make a thick liquid rather than a paste as such. Mixed it with one litre of washable silk emulsion (I know everyone says you need matt) and it worked beautifully on two bedside drawer units I've had (and hated) for years! It didn't need a finish of wax or varnish) on it, I think due to using silk paint. I did 3 thin ish coats, the finish was really lovely, thick, smooth, matt and total coverage.Just ordered some more and plan to use it on bedroom floorboards.

Very good, works a treat, alot cheaper way of painting furniture than buying proper chalk paint! I moved the powder with abit of warm water to create a paste first and then added it to the paint

Fast delivery and just love the product so far have made 4 different paints in colours which you can't get if I tried to buy in store and still have enough for more colours. I can definitely say that I will be buying again.

Excellent, you can change any paint to chalk paint!

Very difficult to blend, so the finished effect is lumpy.
