Sturdy, Spacious, and Built to Last – Perfect for Organizing Tools!
I recently purchased the Hilka G301C3BBS Durable 3-Drawer Tool Chest in red, and I am beyond impressed with both its build quality and functionality. As someone who has been using tool chests for years, this one stands out for several key reasons:1. Build Quality: The Hilka tool chest is rock-solid. The metal construction feels incredibly sturdy and resistant to wear. The drawers slide smoothly even when fully loaded with tools, and the chest itself feels like it could withstand years of use in a busy garage or workshop. The steel finish is top-notch, and the red color is vibrant yet has a professional, sleek look.2. Space & Organization: With 3 spacious drawers, this chest has plenty of room for organizing a wide variety of tools. The bottom drawer is deep enough to accommodate larger tools, while the top two drawers are perfect for smaller hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches. I love how easy it is to organize and access my tools now!3. Drawer Functionality: The drawers open and close with ease, and they lock securely when closed, preventing accidental spills. The ball-bearing slides ensure that the drawers operate smoothly even when heavy items are stored inside. There's no wobbling or jamming, which is a common issue with cheaper models.4. Portability: The chest is lightweight enough to move around the garage or even take to different work sites if needed, but it still feels substantial enough that it doesn’t tip over easily. The handle is sturdy and comfortable for carrying, which is a great touch.5. Value for Money: Considering the durability and functionality, this tool chest offers amazing value. I’ve had other tool chests in the past that didn’t hold up nearly as well, so I’m confident this one will last for years. The price is very reasonable for the quality you’re getting.6. Looks Great: The red finish not only adds a pop of color to my garage, but it’s also easy to clean and maintain. It resists scratches and stains well, so it still looks great even after some heavy use. Conclusion: If you're looking for a high-quality, affordable, and durable tool chest that can help keep your tools organized, the Hilka G301C3BBS is a fantastic choice. It combines practicality, strength, and style all in one. Highly recommend!

Exactly what I wanted
If your after something super sturdy with a lot of space to store heavy things.. this probably anit the tool box for you. But, if your after a little toolbox to store odd bits its probably what your after. It is built well and is fairly sturdy just not like premium brands. But for the price, you really can’t complain. This is perfect for me as I wanted something with a shallow depth to sit on my desk to store stuff like cables, incense sticks and stationary etc. I found it being bright red didn’t fit with the room so I resprayed mine with some BnQ paint.Only bad point, mine didn’t come with a key. I’m not fussed as I didn’t plan on using it anyway

Hilka three drawer step up chest
Nice little box, fairly sturdy and fitted between top box and roll cab. A shame the drawers don't open fully and aren't a little taller, but a useful increase in capacity at a low price.

Good for other sorts of tool storage
I have a metal working lathe and milling machine. People often store bits and pieces for these in bisley drawer units. The shallow ones are often too shallow and the deep too deep for many things. These are nicely in between and 2 of these one on top of the other can hold nearly as much as 2 bisley 6 shallow draw units. Stick 2 bisely deep 3 draw units under those and the result is a capable compact storage area.;) Not sure how I will hold them together yet but suspect that aluminium straps and pop rivets will do the job but there are other ways. Need to look at where pop rivets could go without causing problems.I keep larger stuff on 300mm deep racking units. These could be placed on those as well. They seem to be pretty sturdy to me. When comparing weights maybe people should consider size variations as well. Industrial units may be thicker but cost a lot more.I'd agree that they would benefit from being deeper front to back but they are designed to go with their own tool storage stuff. Drawer pull out distance - well at some point weight in a draw might make them tip. Other than that it would be nice if the entire drawer pulled right out. I do wonder if that is possible though without leaving unused space at the back of the actual cabinet - may be a problem with roller ball type slides.John-

looks good and very large, the lock is probably going to fail at some point/immediately.
Well put together on first inspection and bigger than I had thought. it's an impressive size for spanners etc. So why the two stars taken off? The draws arrived locked which was fine, but as soon as they were un-locked to see inside the draws, the lock failed to lock the draws again and is now not working at all. It didn't even last long enough to lock the draws again once (I kid you not)I now have a box that cannot lock at all, unless I fix a bar too it on the outside and use my own padlocks. if locking this particular box is a "must have" feature for you (it isn't for me as the box is being kept inside a cupboard, which has it's own extra fitted bars and padlocks) then I reluctantly have to recommend that you DO NOT buy this draw set, as the lock will most likely fail immediately/very soon after purchase. This is a first for me with any type of tool locker I must say, but cannot see the point in returning it, as a replacement will most likely fail in the same manner. If it had failed to open in the first place however, the wrapping would still have been warm as it was re-packed for return. Also, the steel is very thin, so I doubt it will taker a hammering in a busy workshop over time. It is fine for domestic use in the shed, but drop something heavy on top and the box will dent quite easily I think. Time will tell.Has anyone had the same experience with the lock on this tool box, or other makes come too that? If so, please let us all know if you have. This tool box is only ok, so you may want to buy one from a better make and more expensive.
