Product Description With ever increasing fuel prices at the pumps, it is more vital than ever before to be economic when driving. Altering your driving style, ensuring tyres are topped up and using the correct engine oil all help improve a car’s fuel economy. When selecting the right engine oil, it’s good to know the brand you choose is widely acknowledged as the World’s leading specialist provider of lubricant solutions. Castrol was found by Charles Cheers Wakefield in 1899, who passionately believed in working alongside his customers to develop the right products and services. Good oil for a hard-worked diesel SUV
I have used this oil for the last three oil changes on my 2005 Nissan X-Trail diesel and it does make a difference. On the second oil change carbon deposits were flushed out and with each change the car has seemed smoother. This model of X-Trail's turbocharger became notorious for failure just after the 3 years warranty period (the cost of replacement by a Nissan dealer starts at £2000 and goes up fast dependent on engine damage), so much so that Nissan quietly extended the warranty to 90000 miles or 5 years. A good oil pays for itself by stretching the life of the turbocharger. Whilst it was dealer-serviced my X-Trail had suffered a turbocharger failure at 55000 miles. Do yourself a favour and stay away from garages that offer cheap services "but follow the Nissan procedures"; my experience has been that when you check out the parts they use, they are pattern parts made to the lowest prices and standards. Servicing it using the best materials, including Castrol's brilliant fully synthetic oil, has made a big difference since then. I have serviced the X-Trail using the Nissan workshop manual and either Nissan or alternative products that vastly exceed the Nissan specifications. This oil is one of those products. The X-Trail has now reached 135000 miles and has done all sorts of work, including long continental journeys and short hauls with a horse trailer. The Castrol oil has done a great job.

Well known brand
This one is stated to to be a fully synthetic oil, so none of the doubt about just how much `synthetic' there is supposed to be as in `semi-synthetic' blends. My Vauxhall 2.2 litre Z22YH engine runs well on this, but I do change the oil annually or every 12 months, whichever is the sooner, as I like to get at least 150,000 miles out of an engine. This oil does meet GM `long life' specifications, but I prefer to play safe as garage owner friend of mine is sceptical about the advantages of `long life' engine oil changes, which he thinks are aimed at the Fleet market. As I have only done 71,000 miles so far, I have a while to go to find out if this oil is any good !

Everything 100 % perfect
Hello everyone. It is hard to say something about engine oil, but hopefully it will work fine in my little 1.3 Toyota engine. I used this type of oil previously and my engine is running smoothly with no issues over winter or summer. The bottle has a different sticker on it but this is just a new design. Oil is still the same. Parcel has arrived before expected delivery time.Remember to change your engine oil and filters regularly.
