Expensive but worth the money
Tried nitromorse paint remover, a heat scraper, brick acid/degreaser and non of them came close to removing the paint from the brick. I bought the trial version peelaway 1&7 mainly because I was sceptical, the 1 did nothing to the paint on the brick, the 7 removed it brilliantly. Please note; it doesn’t just peelaway the paint, I had to scrub with a scourer and hot water, so it’s hard work but removing paint generally is. Also note; it’s great on the brick front but not so good on the brick cement. Hope this helps.

Scrub-away but works like magic
Should be called scrub, wash, scrub-away as it doesn’t really peel but did an incredible job that no other paint stripper could achieve. Went from painted patchy brick (from other paint strippers) to fully gone and restored brick. Would use again. Make sure to use a dish brush followed by small steel brushes to get the milky paste off but it works. Before and after in photos.

Scrapeaway, brushaway, takeshoursaway….. not peelaway 😃
Good stuff…. But it shouldn’t be called peelaway, more like scrape, brush, and elbow grease away. The owners of my house before me decided to patch up the mortar on a beautiful bare brick fire gap with silicone filler then white wash it with emulsion…. yes you decide… So I coated it thickly with this stuff and waited 72 hours checking every 24 hours. I scraped off a panel at a time from the top down with a decorating scraper and caught most of it in the plastic sheet. A wire brush and water made a milky paste so I decided to try a wet towelling cloth then changed the water. Brush, cloth, change water, 3 times in all with a mini trowel to pick out the silicone. 90 mins per half square meter. It is doing the job though where other paint strippers haven’t. I am convinced this is the best product for taking paint off brick, others have suggested using a pressure washer but than wasn’t an option for me inside. Is was gloopy to apply and a ball ache to take off, yet it’s done the job to a rustic finish which is what I wanted, may need to do a bit of repointing though as a lot of mortar came away with all the scraping of the silicone. Wear gloves, keep your arms covered and undress straight into the washing machine, then shower, this stuff smells like almond paste and burns like hell 😊

Expensive and Mediocre job
Exactly as the title say. I bought this in hopes of a quick and easy removal. I loved the idea of putting it on and 3 days later removing the paint with a quick peel off. That obviously didn't happen. First things first the picture shows a 10kg tub but there are 3 sizes. Beware of this. I knew what I was buying but only because of the reviews, so I'm also highlighting this. Now on to the product, the scraper and bags are included but for the 4kg tub you get 3 bags which isn't enough for the amount of product. I ended up using bin bags - don't buy expensive branded peelaway bags. Those bags are a scam for what is needed. The amount I bought wasn't enough to cover my whole wall. I bought this in hopes that it would be cheaper than paint panther because I needed 4 tins which would have cost the same as the peelaway. But with less effort right? WRONG. I still needed to scrape the paint stripper and only managed to cover 3/4 of the wall. I was really disappointed given the hype. Great seller though. They were quick to deliver and respond to any queries. If only the product was as good as them.

Bumpy brick
Previous owners had a lean-to that they decided to paint the "inside" of, leaving a big white block of paint to deal with. Gave this stuff a go and it works well but did take a fair bit of effort, mainly because of the bumpy surface meaning the paint got in every little nook. Things you will need - a power washer, a hard bristle brush and patience. Slap the stuff on using a big paint brush, the spatula thing they give you will take forever. Push the sheets into it and tape the edges. It didn't come with enough sheets to cover the area I needed but a dust sheet does the same job. Next day peel off the sheets and sponge down to get the upper layer of residue off and then power wash. Be warned though, this stuff will go everywhere, didn't matter in my case thankfully as everything around it is being replaced anyway. This got about 75% of it off but still clearly visible amounts of paint so repeated the process with a 2nd coat. This took it off to about 90%, at this point you're just going to have to suck it up and get all the little remaining bits off with a hard bristle brush and then jet wash again. For flat surfaces like wood, metal and some bricks this will be a breeze but for bumpy surfaces it's a bit of a job. So a bit of a faff but ultimately did the job.

Excellent product that does the job brilliantly!
We had a conservatory that had been painted on the outside wall around 15-20 years previously and nothing including Nitromor would touch it. I saw Peelaway 7 on the internet and decided to buy this to remove the white paint. My husband painted it on with a brush and then used the spatular provided to go over each section before putting on the plastic covering. We did leave it for 48 hours before taking it off using both a steel brush and our pressure washer. It came off easily and had removed the paint really well, there is only a very tiny residue in some of the bricks that will come off with a bit of wire brushing. We are SO pleased with how well this product has performed and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to remove stubborn paint.

Not as easy as it looks
Like most people, I saw the YouTube video and it seemed like it would be very easy to use and not require much effort beyond the initial application. I was wrong, however with a lot of effort the results are as advertised. I applied this to two internal garage walls approximately 2.7m x 2.7m (each). I had assumed the walls had textured paint applied over brick, unfortunately I was wrong and removing the paint revealed it was a very old textured plaster over brick. The textured surface meant it was difficult to apply evenly with the spatula, being thicker in the crevices, etc. I also found the spatula too short and flexible and so my gloved-hands did get quite covered. I would suggest using a brush or scraping tool to apply. The real issue/difficulty for me came with removing the poultice. Absolutely none of it came away from the walls with the blankets (like in the video) and it therefore had to be scraped away, which given the textured surface underneath, still left a significant amount of the poultice/gooey paint mix which I had to scrub relentlessly with a brush and water. (I've still got most of it left to do!) For the 1mx1m area I've cleaned so far the results are good - all of the paint is gone, but it's taking a significant amount of time and effort. Had I known it would have been this difficult I wouldn't have bothered. I would recommend this product for small areas and for smooth underlying surfaces (easier to remove) where you want to get back to the underlying surface. If using this to clean larger areas, I would recommend using it in an area where a jet washer can be used to spray off the remaining residue. Also, I didn't bother with the two testers as I knew I needed the Peel Away 7 - I would suggest using a tester first before committing to a large order just to check if you really do want to put in the effort! One final point, I purchased chemical resistant gloves to use with the product and these were coming apart by the time I was done applying the poultice. (became really baggy and then holes started appearing). I've used heavy duty marigolds for removal which have held up fine - but they have come into contact with it a lot less on scraping away.

Very effective but wow messy!
Used this to remove what looked like about 10-12 layers off my front door. I used Peelaway 7 first (leaving it on for 72 hours), then did some bits with a layer of Peelaway 1 from a test pot (leaving for 24 hours) as 7 wasn't getting all the way in on parts of the older layers (even though test patches looked like it would). Putting it on is easy and doesn't smell. Papering over while it's working it also easy as long as the surface is flat! Hence my missed bit in the photo. Peelaway 1 leaves you with a LOT of gungy stuff to wash off, even in small amounts it seem, which is very time consuming with just a sponge and buckets. Peelaway 7 just scaped off farily easily leaving very nice bare wood underneath. I later used Zinsser 123 alkaline resistant primer as a precaution, as Peelaway 1 can leave alkaline bits hiding apparently (although the netraliser seemed to have done its job).
