Nike Plus Kinect Training (Xbox 360)

I have tried a various fitness software, but Nike Plus Kinect Training is definitely the best one!
I picked up a lot of weight since i got deskbound job. I started to cycle and exercise outdoors but with the autumn coming in and nasty weather just around the corner i started to think about some indoor exercise program. As I have just bought Xbox360 with Kinect I decided to give this one a try.I bought it for very reasonable price, so even if I would not like it, there wouldn't be a big loss. This game is a part of Nike+ universe but I did not try any product from it before, so it meant nothing to me and I'm afraid, there's not a lot I can say about it.So lets go to the game itself.Obviously we need a lot of free space, so tiny room in a flat would be not suitable.First we have to take initial fitness test and after being assessed, we can crack on with our own performance regime. We get the schedule to follow, with each workout initially lasting about 20-25 minutes. We start with warm up, then going to main exercises and we cool down at the end. We have an option to work up another round, if we want. At the end we are being assessed. Simple as.What do I think about it then? Well, I absolutely love this game!. It feels like working with personal trainer. All the session are quite intense, so there will be a lot of sweat! I like the variety of exercise and the fact, that we can track the progress.I have tried a various fitness software, but Nike Plus Kinect Training is definitely the best oneThe only downside is the accuracy of kinect sensor, as sometimes it did not pick up my movements properly, but it is, as said before, kinect's own fault.

Nice workout game
Overall i'm very pleased with this game, just a couple of practical detailsThe good:good exercises, tailored to your needskeeps you motivatedchallenging enough for experienced exercisersThe bad:since i'm pretty tall some of the exercises require me to stand far away of the TV, swinging my leg backwards is impossible because of my couch.tracking is not always perfect, it once tracked a pillow for two minutes.Tip: use an exercise mat

Could the trainer please be silent?
The game as an idea is excellent. I really like working out with the game and even though I do not have a lot of space, kinect picks me up quite good most of the time. However, the drawbacks:* The coach / personal trainer really must speak less. The guy is simply annoying. For example: Some time ago, Kinect did not pick me up during one exercise. I now keep hearing, every time I make that exercise: You struggled with that one in the past but I know that you can make it today! Really drives me nuts!* Some exercizes are not being picked up as well as others - for example, stay low squat is a disaster. I squat so that my legs are 90 degrees. I move a few cm up as told to. Feedback is: You must stay low!!!* Repetitive: When you follow a workout for a couple of weeks, the exercizes are the same all the time, the number of repetitions barely increases. Not challenging!* Your top score feedback: Sometimes when I am doing the first repetition of an excercise I have done well in the past, the coach says: Wow, you almost reached your top score! Common ...But again, I really like the game and will keep using itI recently purchased the upper body / core workout DLC. It was a 800MB download but the session had only 2 new excercizes (?). The rest was just the same.UPDATE: Oh ok, a couple of the DLC exercizes are included now in my normal routine, nice. The only thing is, it seems as if each exercise has its own "sweet spot". If you move a couple of cm away, you are not tracked anymore. I have this especially with single arm plank and sideways low squat. You would think that the further from the sensor the better but actually, I got detected better when I moved closer.

Great title, but beware of stock if gifting!
As a user of both fitness titles released by Ubisoft for the Kinect under the "Your Shape" branding, I was keen to know how this would compare, but it feels like a more rounded and solid product offering personal training, rather than a bunch of activities that just happen to help you lose weight and exercise. The software links with the Nike+ website and therefore is great if you also use other Nike+ products.Just be wary of who is fulfilling the stock, as this order was for a friend (as the product features the ability to train against your Nike+ friends), but the product I received has "BUNDLED COPY ONLY" in large writing over the front with no official Xbox sticker sealing the case closed. As I wanted this as a gift, it makes it look rather cheap, like i'm now giving away a spare copy!

Personal coach thingy.
OK, so this was a gift for my wife (I know, bald move, but she asked for it), she already had YourShape 2012 for the xbox 360 but she was getting bored with it.Compared to YourShape 2012 where you can choose freely between any type of workout, this is more like a personal trainer who evaluates you and then makes a schedule and a personalized program. You can't exactly choose what type of exercise you want, the "instructor" decides that. This is both good and bad, it's good because the training sessions are usually well balanced, with warm up and cool down parts (YourShape 2012 doesn't include cool down in it's sessions) but it's also bad because... it's bad because well... you have no choice, not if you want to stick to your training schedule.
