A well packaged Hibiscus tea with health benefits which seem to be working for me.
Some of this review that I write will have been copied over from another Hibiscus tea product, I have found them to be equally palatable and, more importantly for me, seem to have the same positive effects on my blood pressure....I was a little dubious at first regarding any possible benefit in using this as an aid to controlling blood pressure, 58 years old male with moderately high BP, which seems to be my norm and not necessarily down to dietary and other lifestyle choice.I am currently taking 3.75mg of Bisoprolol daily as a help to reduce my BP and also as an aid for an elevated heart rate, that is probably down to anxiety.I do use a Omron BP unit which has bluetooth capability and thus record my BP readings over an Android app for monitoring. For those who have BP issues you will be aware of how much your BP can vary, made worse for me with "white coat syndrome" when it comes to measuring it.However with everything else being as constant as life can make it I am reasonably sure that drinking three or so cups of this tea a day has helped to lower both of my reading by around 10% or so. For me that was more important on the diastolic readings.whilst drinking this tea might well have anti inflammatory benefits as well as BP lowering qualities, I am reasonably impressed with what I have seen so far after around two months use of Hibiscus tea bags. The Tea bags seem to be made without the use of any bleaching agent on the bags as well.It produces a lovely red tea which tastes very very nice indeed, sometimes drinking it with Manuka honey as it can be a little tart.I am impressed with these tea bags, providing a lovely cup of nice tasting tea and also they do seem to have had a positive effect on my BP.I also use Clipper organic Chamomile tea in-between cups of this type............. This actual product......I have uploaded several photos to show the bags and the colour effect that they have when left to stand in a cup of 90c water. Not sure why one or two appear sideways when they were all taken in portrait mode. The boxes that they arrive in are cellophane sealed and wrapped. The box opens cleanly and will close shut again. Each of the bags, see photos, are individually sealed. They also come with a string and holder to dangle over your cup. The paper used for the bags appears to be the non bleached type, not pure white type. The bags themselves seem sturdy enough and non have burst in the cup so far. The contents isn't as large or full of "bits" etc than others I have used but that doesn't seem to effect their beneficial effects".Leaving the bag in the cup for a full five minutes the very dark and deep aubergine colour in the water is very apparent. The taste is tart and consistent with others that I have used.I am now off Bisoprolol, and its associated side effects which were quite bad, and I am, for the very first time, most hopeful that these can continue to be a good contribution to my ability to manage my own blood pressure. It is early days as yet and I am still having issues with the side effects of no longer taking my beta blockers. If anyone is considering doing the same it is a MUST that you do this with the help, advice and support of your GP. Please do not do this on your own. We are all individuals and react quite differently to both medication and products such as these and need the expertise of a GP before attempting to make any changes.Hope that his review is helpful and the very best wishes on the results that you see from using it.

Tasty
Very tasty and well packaged. Not however that the bags have no strings and are not individually packaged, which make them difficult to use while travel or in the office.

Forever hopeful.
I am a big 'normal' tea drinker with the odd cup of coffee thrown in. In an effort to be more healthy and cut back I have tried many different herbals teas but have yet to find a ready to buy herbal tea that I like. They all taste (to me) like weird tasting flavoured hot water. I have been making alternative tea drinks myself recently to help lessen my 'normal' tea/coffee consumption including lemon juice and powdered ginger, lemon juice, honey and powdered cayenne and lemon juice, honey, and powdered cayenne, ginger, cumin and turmeric. These spices all have excellent health benefits for me. However, recently I have had slightly raised blood pressure and wanted to try a natural remedy to help get it down a little. I came across Herbiscus during research and then these tea bags. The loose tea seemed either too small in amount or too expensive for a lot if I didn't like it. These tea bags seemed to be about the right amount to try and to be worth a try as I could open one of the six boxes and then give away the rest to friends who drink herbal teas if I didn't like them. Ok they are more expensive then 'normal' tea bags but I thought they were worth it if they worked. The colour is amazing a beautiful dark blackberry red. Theres not much of a smell to it. The taste is like someone else said a bit like hot cranberry juice. I prefer adding a little honey to it and also have tried adding cayenne. I have found that I can actually make two cups with one tea bag so that has also been a bonus. My blood pressure seems to be ok at the moment but then that's taken at home on my own machine not the hospital or doctors. Can't say I would regularly buy this as a replacement for 'normal' tea but would replace the odd cup with it and although not a big coffee drinker would replace coffee with it to help with blood pressure as coffee raises it. I can honestly say that it is the first herbal tea that I have been able to stomach and therefore I will keep drinking and the open box will not end up at the back of the cupboard. It came well packaged and on time and I would definitely if more is required, purchase from this supplier again.

Does not work
No effect whatsoever on blood pressure - so diluted as well

Very refreshing hot or cold
I found these to be good value and the bags don’t tear and spill all the leaves like some other brands. Well done, Hambledon.
