This clamp has proven its worth in a couple of key ways that make my work easier and more precise. First off, I’ve used it to lock things in place on my workbench, and it’s been great. Whether I’m holding down a piece of wood to saw or keeping something steady while I drill, the clamp grips tight and doesn’t budge. The one handed trigger mechanism is really smooth - squeeze it a few times, and it’s locked in, freeing up my other hand to make small adjustments. I’ve also relied on it for gluing projects, and it shines there too. Recently, I clamped some wooden pieces together for a small table build, and it held everything snug while the glue set. The packaging says it’s got a 63kg clamping force, but honestly, I’m not sure what that means in practical terms. Doesn’t matter to me, though, because whatever it’s rated for, it feels plenty strong for my needs. The build quality is great; it’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy, and seems like it’ll hold up for the long haul. Overall, this IRWIN clamp is a high quality tool that just works. It's as expected however the rubbers do tend to fall off a little easily.

These clamps will fulfill my need okay. They are lightweight clamps so okay for holding things whilst the glue drys, small homemade plywood cabinets for example. Also handy for clamping down small wood planks for drilling or sawing but, as an aid, as a second pair of hands. Remember the clamps are lightweight and realitively cheap so they have limits. The plastic grips are small and will break if too much pressure is applied. Don't try and hold a massive oak beam with them or use them as climbing aids, you will be disappointed... If you are a professional user you will need a more substantial pair of clamps but for the casual amateur user these clamps should work well enough, the hold tension okay as an aid and not a total solution, but that's okay for my needs.

I am impressed with these clamps and should do me well for d i y projects. They have a good solid feel to them and should last.

Irwin Clamps are like your third hand when doing woodworking or general DIY. If things want clamping or holding down these are my go to clamps, they are both versatile and strong with a good clamping range, and a super easy quick release lever. The Jaws are rubber so do not mark the material being held. They are light and easy to use and hold with great functionality.
