Small
I wear the same size in every Judo Gi I own. This is the first where it's actually smaller than the size chart says.

Despite issues, I'd buy it again
This is a great price on a starter gi that looks like I payed a lot more for it. Even though there were some issues which I mention below, the price makes it worth the trouble. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the black uniform from instructors and from other students. This is a Judo fit, so the sleeves are wider than a Jiu Jitsu uniform and will leave you vulnerable to more attacks in Jiu Jitsu competition, but would be fine for practice. It works very well for Hapkido, which is the style I study.Good things:- Good sizing. I ordered the black gi in a size 2. I'm 5'4 and the fit of the jacket is perfect. Pants could be a little longer to suit my style preference, but are well within the range of a traditional judo fit with feet and ankles showing.-The weight of the top is nice and heavy and the texture is pretty cool looking with a good feel.-The areas on the top that you would practice grabbing techniques on as well as the knees of the pants are reinforced with a second layer of fabric and stitching.-Strong enough for grappling and grabbing.-Tapered sleeves provide enough fabric for your partner to grab while practicing techniques, but don't get in the way.-Black hides stains and makeup marks. If you're a woman and you show up to class with even the slightest speck of makeup on your face, it will be rubbed off on your gi and is pretty embarrassing if you're wearing white. Black = win.Concerns:-Black bleeds a lot of dye and mine had a chemical smell when it arrived. Handling the dry uniforms left my fingertips colored from the excess dye. I had to wash these uniforms about five times using Synthrapol before I felt comfortable wearing them to class because I was worried the dye would rub off on other people's white uniforms or on my belt.-There were some loose threads I had to trim off.-After washing, the reinforced areas around the outside of the collar are a little puckered.-Black is beginning to fade. Some dye is continuing to wash off with every use.

Great material and Craftsmanship, don't know how it handles yet.
Great material. My one hesitation when buying a "judo" gi is to see if it is the right material for Judo. Some say they are "Judo" but are not thick enough. That was what I was worried about, but I was delightfully surprised to see that this gi is both thick enough and lightweight. I haven't worn it yet, so I don't know how well it will handle, so I'm only giving it 4 stars for now. I'm 6'2" and 175lb, and I ordered a size 5. When it first arrived, it was huge, way bigger than my size 6 from another company, but after washing it to shrink it (and to get rid of the weird "new gi" smell), it fits a bit smaller than my 6, The sleeves are a little short, but are just right for my taste, and I have very long arms so it is to be expected. The torso part fits a little baggy but slim and tight against my chest, which is good, and the pants are very high quality with extra cloth on the knee, which I did not expect, but was a great surprise.Upon update, the gi is still holding up very well and it has not torn or frayed almost at all. I would buy it again.

Great buy
I'm giving five stars because you really get your money's worth. For less than fifty dollars, you get the whole set: top, pants, and even a white belt. The fabric for the top and the belt is rather thin, but sturdy enough for the job. The quality/price ratio is very good. It won't last forever - what does? - but it sure looks like it won't tear anytime soon.I also appreciate that there is no big logo taking all the space in the back, like on some pricier models. I don't want to be a walking advertisement for a brand. The pants look great in my opinion. There are two "belt hoops" on the front to hold the string. I wish there was an additional one right in the middle, but it is not a big deal. Some customers reported that there is no reinforcing at the knees. The pants that I have receiving do have it.I am 6'5" and I have ordered size 7 because I have read that it shrinks a lot. As expected, it was a bit too big for me, but not so much: the pants' rims reach my heels, without touching the floor, and the top's sleeves rest slightly on my hands when I extend my arms. I have washed the top only once for now, warm water, then machine dried it (it did not visibly damage it by the way), and... it did not noticeably shrink at all. Also, I am very skinny so the whole thing looks a bit too wide, but it is not a problem at all during practice. The belt is long (again, I'm skinny and this is size 7), but not so long that it looks ridiculous.I am very pleased overall. I would buy it again. Hope it helps.

Size worked out better than I expected.
Being 5’10” and about 205lbs I was expecting to have to shrink this a few times when I saw that size 5 was the closest to me according to the size guide. But that wasn’t the case, one warm water wash and air dried and it fits like great.

Best value starter gi
I have purchased ProForce Gladiator gis for all of my children. They are not are solid feeling as a higher priced Fuji or other brand, but they are perfect for children and practice. I personally own two of the Pro Force Impact double weaves as well, which are considerably thicker and I suspect will last me most of my Judo life ($40 each). I would highly recommend these for anyone looking to purchase for a child or for a low cost gi starting out/practicing.The unbleached gi is slightly yellow, but this is not really a bad thing. Also, the unbleached gi felt a little stiffer to me than the bleached ones. Make sure to check the prices for the various colors, they will usually vary on Amazon based on size and color and not always in a way that seems logical. Fit is a little trial and error based, though we have every size from 000 to 4 at our house... I usually end up guessing bigger than I needed. Expect some mild to moderate shrinkage if washing and drying on high heat.

Good quality fabric and long enough for 6'3" kid
This met and exceeded our expectations. The fabric is thick and sturdy. My son is tall and muscular, and this gives him lots of room to move and has plenty of stretch in the material. I was concerned that it would be very short in the arms or legs. It was perfect.
