Lots of photos and info for all ages, child or adult
What a great book, my son has one and we recently bought one for one of his friends. It's packed with lots of great photos of the outside and inside of a wide variety of aircraft. There is some great information too and the book is well laid out. Highly recommend to anyone interested in aviation.

All you want to see about planes!
I bought this for my nephew who was joining the RAF. It got great pictures and factual information on both historical planes both military and domestic. A nice hard back book that’s a coffee table must for plane enthusiasts!

Visual and Informative Guide to Aircraft
I read this book cover to cover in less than a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The book is well-researched, informative and not dry like other factual books of this type and contains plenty of fantastic images of aircraft from all over the world from the dawn of aviation to the next generation of aircraft. There's also detailed insights behind some of the world's most well-known aircraft manufacturers, engines and pioneers of aviation. Whilst fighter and commercial planes make up the bulk of the book, balloons, airships, and helicopters are also well represented. If you are fascinated by aircraft, then this book is for you!

Nicely put together
Arrived on time (international delivery) but could've done with a bit more packaging, since it was a little battered on one edge. Book itself is fantastic. Nice textured cover, glossy pages with detailed illustrations and lots of technical details. Seems well laid out and informative. Given as a gift to someone who's just completed basic aircraft mechanic training.

An Appreciation of a long awaited DK Volume.
Having previously digested many other DK books including The Car Book, I could'nt wait to see what a job they wuold make of this subject. I am extremely pleased with this book which was well worth the wait. It was obviously impossible to include every aircraft ,given the attempt to cover every period of aviation. Nevertheless, this is a volume well worth it's place on every enthusiasts bookshelf. I am well pleased. Ken Boyall

Great Book
Gives an excellent illustrated overview on lots of aircraft (including helicopters, gliders and others) through out the decades, with interspersed more detailed write ups on manufacturers, engines, people and aircraft. Would recommend for young and old alike. Cover adds the heavy quality feel with its embossed foil detail for the aircraft front and back and textured surface.

A wonderful feast for aircraft aficionados
I expected something good from the hand of Philip Whiteman, and was delighted to find something outstanding. I'm a long-time PPL and have been buying aircraft books and magazines for fifty-something years, and this may be the best thing I've seen so far. It is a huge visual feast, a well-chosen selection, with beautiful picture quality and terrific detail. The accompanying text is concise and well-informed. I keep dipping back into it, just for pleasure.

Brilliant aviation book
Bought this for our 9 year old. It's a very informative book on aircraft built throughout aviation history. A mix of civil and military aircraft. Would definitely recommend.
