The Aramith Tournament Magnetic Cue Ball is the best cue ball available for coin-op and other tables with a magnetic cue ball return. This ball has the magnetic material spread evenly throughout the entire ball to give it the truest roll and maximum performance.

Works Great in 1992 Valley Table
This cue ball plays fantastic like other Aramith non-metallic cue balls.

Good quality and received quickly
It doesnโt move like a red dot on my table. Also my valley coin operated table doesnโt have the magnet to separate the ball. Itโs the type that separates the larger size que ball. I do plan on removing the slate to install the magnet separator hopefully that does the trick.

Great ball. Very white. Very responsive to applied spin.
Although I had the original cue ball (which came with my Aramith set purchased 20 years ago, and is tinted more "yellowish-cream colored") and had purchased an Aramith cue ball with multiple red dots (which is great for assessing the spin being applied to the cue ball), I purchased this cue ball to take with me when playing APA league matches on bar tables which require a magnetic cue ball, because many of the bar table cue balls have been played with so much they feel "sluggish" and often have chips.I now have three cue balls, and this, by far is my favorite. Not only is the white-white color more pleasant to the eyes, the ball seems to be more responsive to English, especially to draw spin. Since the ball is the same weight as the other cue balls. However, this ball is also easily marked by chalk. Wiping the ball after each rack will help keep it clean. But if blue or green chalk is used, the ball will be marked up and it is extremely difficult to keep marks off the ball. I started taking this with me to play APA pool on "bar box" tables, but am unhappy with how it is getting ugly blue marks all over it. So I'm going to buy the more expensive "purple logo" Aramith cue ball with Duramith technology, as it is supposed to have a harder finish and not be as susceptible to marks from dark chalk.

True roll, Duramith balls roll farther and true, No Burn Marks, English like takes as measle ball.
If your going to a tavern to shoot this ball rolls more true, and farther on every shot, you just need to adjust your position play, those house balls vendors guvet are always garbage "polyester resin" and this works perfect in the ball return as well for magnetic return so you won't lose it.. the purple lido means it is made with duramith technology so this just means the Phenolic resin is coated from what I've read.. no difference between most of them on the play however the new duramith us supposed to not leave the burn marks in the table from breaking to safe your felt.. most think the that it is the white off the ball is however the contact patch of the ball on a breaks friction can heat the ball patch up to over 400 degrees for a fraction of a second hence the white burn marks.. I train 3 times a week on a bar 7' and the other days on the 9' and I've had no issues with any of these balls .. with a standard bar Ball? ha! White skiff stripes from a consistent 20mph break everywhere.

great cue ball
This is a magnetic cue ball which returns in many coin operated pool tables, yet it plays almost exactly like the standard cue ball you would play with in a pool hall. It's amazing that they're able to produce such a good facsimile of a professional weight cue ball which still returns in bar tables.Note that it will not return in all tables. Coin operated tables typically use three methods to get the cue ball to return: a cue ball which is much heavier than the other balls, a cue ball which is much bigger than the other balls, or a cue ball which has metal in it, which a magnet in the pool table pulls to the side so that it returns to the shooter rather than going down with the other balls. So the table needs to be one which has the magnet, and it needs to be set up and adjusted so that it works, which is not always the case. But this is a FANTASTIC cue ball which hits just like a professional cue ball even though it returns on properly set up coin-op tables.

Came in an envelope w bubble wrap.
So did I get what I paid for? I have no way of knowing. It seems like it's a good cue ball and my Panther table pulls it into the cue return. But no manufacturer packaging whatsoever? That's just wrong. Is it used? Is it a knockoff? Is it defective? What excuse is there for this?

Take it to the bar
Perfect for coin op tables with a magnetic return so you don't have to use the oversized ball aka the boulder. I have a coin op table at home and it's never gone thru the wrong path. Always came out where it should. And it actually takes spin and reacts really well.

Magnet far too weak
Ball does not work as advertised, magnet is far to weak. I bought this to replace my old magnetic ball. Old one still works fine, this one does not work.

No original packaging!
No original packaging, could easily be a rip off brand..does not meet aramith expectations..
