The pad was really dry.
The pad was really dry and I tried applying a refill to it but no further luck, hence I have not been able to use it.

Mixed results
I found that I had better results using normal ink as the powder didn’t seem to stick to this ink very well. Not sure if the pad or embossing powder was the problem to be fair. Will try it again with another make of powder.
