Good sturdy step ladder, easy to fold flat & store. Not too heavy for an old bird to move into place& firm treads for safety.

3 STEP LADDER REVIEW1/ This set of step ladders is sold as a prime delivery item. I am a prime delivery member but have experienced a high percentage of prime next day delivery failures. I elected to use the no rush delivery option, gaining the digital credit. As a result, the delivery period should represent what a non prime member can expect and a prime member on next day should be able to expect better.2/ The ladders were delivered quickly which was a total of 5 days including order and delivery day with a weekend in the middle of that. So fast prompt delivery. Reasonably well protected and the packaging was easily removed.3/ The ladders themselves are solid. Heavy enough to give me confidence that they are not going to collapse underneath me.4/ They are made of a tubular metal which gives strength to the structure.5/ All the welds / joints are neat tidy and as best I can tell properly done.6/ The folding mechanism is effective but being brand new are really stiff. I have given them a good dose of a combination of WD 40 and a silicon spray. This loosened slightly but only opening and closing will do the job as joints was slightly.7/ The one thing I do not like are the end covers / feet. They consist or very, I consider, lightweight plastic rubberised grommets and I will be replacing them with walking stick grommets at the very first chance I get.8/ The treads are suitable for my UK size 10 feet and the material is not nasty under my bare foot, even providing a little grip. They are not slippy. All that said, I would be disinclined to use the top of the three steps, I think it would be very easy to overbalance. Stick to the second of the steps using the top as a convenient hand hold.9/ All of that said, It will be my wife who will use these more often than I will and it is a very welcome addition to her 5ft 1.5 inch life. The step ladders do as they should. They fold into a slender profile so store nicely, in our case between american fridge freezer and wall. These steps at £15.99 delivered, represent excellent value even with my having to spend a fiver or so on grommets (lose a star for that) Other internet buys are generally inferior products or more expensive. High street costs, when I was searching for a set were often double this price. Handy size and stable for odd jobs around the house. Easy to store and the build quality is great. Good reach for most jobs without the bulk of a big ladder
