Perfect for little hands
Brought as a replacement for magnets that came with an easel. The strength is good and having the sheet of magnetic backing on the back instead of a small traditional magnet makes them safer for smaller children. My toddler loves them.

Great Letters and Numbers
Neat letters and numbers, smashing for little fingers. One of my Grandsons throws things up in the air. So I've bought these extra letters and numbers. Well made, good price too. As one never knows whether to go very cheap or average prices. Thanks Patricia

A well made and classic toy
A well made and classic toy. My toddler really enjoys playing with this, although, when unsupervised, the magnetic numbers and letters do tend to end up getting launched around the room - still, that's a perfectly valid way to play with it ;)The easel is really nice, with three positions, and the board can be flipped so that you have a classic blackboard (well, green actually) and a white board. The chalk is thin and hence breaks up too easily, but, since you'll be buying chalk on an ongoing basis, this is a minor issue. The whiteboard markers have not been used yet, since DS is not even 2 yet, so would only write on the walls with them. He'll "grow into" this toy, so that's not an issue. The only real minus point is that the letters are a bit too fancy, incorporating pictures of things starting with that letter (so "i" has an iguana coiled around it). This makes them much less legible, and some of the things chosen to go with the letter are not everyday things, so that seems a little abstract (e.g. surely there would have been a better choice for "i" than iguana?). However, sets of magnetic letters are readily available, so we can easily get something more suitable for now, and when he's older he'll pick up on the subtlety of the letters/things that were included here. The numbers, on the other hand, are perfect - bold colours, simple font - exactly as you'd expect in an early learning educational toy.

Practical, portable board which will inspire the imagination for years to come
After a thorough search online, we bought this blackboard for my son, who has just turned three, for Christmas. Over the last month, we have used the board and have come to the conclusion that it's an excellent product and well worth the money. The features that we like best about the product are :- it's a great size for a smaller child who can't reach a large easel- it's lightweight and extremely portable, so we could take it to grandparents house etc- we comfortably play with it on the floor, at my sons level, which research has shown is beneficial to children- love the fact that both sides are magnetic & he can use chalks or dry wipe markers- it takes a minute to set up and we didn't have any problems with the removal of the plastic on the blackboard, which other reviews experiencedYou can easily remove the board from the frame and my son likes to use it on his knee- it comes with a good range of magnets. You get the letters, numbers and shapes- the drawstring bag is really useful to put the magnets in.As our little boy is obsessed with animals, he loves the magnetic letters and has taken much more of an interest in them for that reason. The magnets are colourful, but I would like to suggest the following minor improvements to the manufacturer. I think the darker colour letters are more eye catching and it's easier to distinguish between the shape of the letters and the animals. Therefore, I would not use the pastel colour for the letters. Two letters (n & z) do not have animals on them. My son found this confusing, so can I suggest using narwhal, nightingale or x-ray fish off the top of my head. Also, for an additional charge, I think it would be great if you expanded the range of shapes to include eg stars, hearts, octagon etc.Overall, I highly recommend this item. I think whole family will use it for many years to come.

Very happy with the buy
I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. Overall, I must say I would highly recommend this to everybody even though there are minor negative points too.Pros: 1. Good educational toy to develop child's knowledge and skills (and to keep them occupied too!!)2. The wooden easel is very sturdy and has a good finish3. All magnetic shapes, letters and numbers are of very good quality4. Set of picture cards are very helpful providing creative ideas.5. Easy to handle due to the just enough size and weight of the easel. my child can carry it wherever he wants6. Easy storage : easel - foldableeach set (shapes, letters & numbers, Chalk eraser & marker) - comes in a separate resealable bag andall these bags can be securely stored in the draw string bag included in this productCons: Toys of wood oxford, your attention please!!!!1. Letters would have been better without the pictures incorporated in it.Pictures distort the unique shape of a letter confusing children.2. Chalkboard comes off the frame easily. I struggled a lot to insert it back when it came off with the sticker covering itssurface3. Suggest to fix something like rubber bushes on the bottom of each leg of easel because it slides backwards when you try to write withchalk or marker pen. However, we use keeping it on the carpet next to a wall!

Missing letters and numbers
Nice quality wooden magnets and lovely colours / designs but not ideal to be missing a number 9 and a letter M when trying to help my toddler to learn their numbers and letters
