Size 10-12 Female Dressmaking Mannequin Tailors Bust Dressmakers Display Dummy on a stylish Wooden Tripod Base

I wanted a dressmaker’s dummy to help me block and assemble sweater-knitting projects. The adjustable mannequins are really expensive and I don’t do much dressmaking, let alone haute couture! I just need something I can drape fabric around and stick pins in. I looked online to see what other options there are and found this. It so happens that the size 10/12 correspond almost exactly with my measurements, so why bother with an adjustable torso when this one would do the job perfectly well? It arrived half an hour ago and I assembled it in five minutes, using a rubber mallet to help bash the metal pole into the stand. The jersey top is a tight, neat fit. I guess the polystyrene will break up in a few years, but for the money I’ve paid, I really can’t complain. The wooden stand is far more attractive than the unappealing stands of professional tailors’ dummies, and this lady is now a really decorative feature in my bedroom.

I'm so happy with this! I've wanted a dressmaking mannequin for the longest time, but don't like the horrid gaps and spindly legs on adjustable ones. I was a little skeptical whether this would work, but it's perfect for my needs. I bought it in my bust size and then attached wadding to the hips to make it entirely my measurements and pulled the cover over the wadding so it's invisible. The legs are really sturdy, and because it's polystyrene I can pin things to it really easily. I've used it for draping and creating patterns and everything's come out perfect. Also looks nice wearing my creations when I'm done.The only negative is it was delivered by Yodel and I had some trouble receiving it, but it was shipped very quickly and securely.

I have only given 3 for durability as it seems like it will dent fairly easily but overall it's good value and does the job. The wooden ball that sits on the top of the neck refuses to go in though - the hole is a fraction too small, apart from that it was very simple to assemble hence the other 3. Pleased with in anyway.

Fast delivery. Seems of good quality, a little bit fiddle fixing the legs on as the nuts are quite small but did not take long.

I would to take back my first review, I do find the item is good for working on! I just find the quality isn’t good. I would have put vanish onto the wood and would look so much more professional for the price! I do photograph shots for different outlets, this is why I think the quality could be better!Thank you ☺️

Wow what a great dummy for the price! Very lightweight but still sturdy, wooden stand is of great quality too. Assembly literally took 2 minutes.Both dispatch and delivery times were incredibly quick as if it’s Prime (ordered Monday late evening, delivered Wednesday morning).Recommended! 👏

I've had this mannequin for a year and a half and she's amazing! I'm new to sewing so I didn't want to spend hundreds on an adjustable one just yet. She's really lightweight and easy to carry around, it's simple to put her together and adjust her height. My mannequin measurements are a bit different to what the ad says, mine are: waist: 27" and hips: 35.5" so double check what size you're looking for before purchasing.

Nice quality. Bought this for my daughter. She's a Design and Fashion student and is now using dummies at school to create garments. Thought it would be good for her to have it at home and use it for her creations and for styling. She's very happy and it turns out the measurements are very close to hers so we can use it to create clothes for her! Very quick delivery and easy to put together. If you want you can lightly pad it under cover so you can pin fabric to it without damaging the dummy.
