Ok, so, I bought this item cos I wanted to set up my recording studio at home since corona outbreak won't let me do it anymore outside. I had some little idea on what to do (from experience of recording and watching producers do stuff on their system). This wasn't easy to set up at first but it shld have been cos it was straight forward what to do but I think I didnt install the audiobox properly so it won't show on my system which made it impossible for me to get any sounds whatsoever from the mic. Luckily, I had a producer helping me from another country 😄 so we did a video call, and he helped me through it. And when I finally heard the mic picking up sounds, it was a tremendous joy for me. Mic sound is good. I recorded some stuff and played around with it. For me, I'm not finding it hard cos I'm already into these things so can understand a lot of things there, except for the really core stuff. But I'm looking forward to recording my 1st proper song. Now I've got back most of my songs still in the studio. And how fun is it to record on your own! If u r the type that gets shy when ppl are around u recording, like me, then u will love this privacy even more. By the way, in case u r worried about your usb not being 1.1 or 2, mine is 3. I have 4 usb ports on my Toshiba laptop and they're all usb 3. But this works perfectly. Remember to turn on the 48v light before recording. NEVER unplug the audio interface box usb cable from your laptop or pc whilst the 48v light is on. The producer that helped me said leave all the vols at half way and turn up the little headfones vol and turn up your computer vol too! 🤠 otherwise the sound will be low. The big one is for listening on big speakers so turning it up when recording won't do much to your headphones vol. Also, there's a vol u need to turn up on the adding track area. Didn't know about it. It was the producer that told me. Remember u have two items to download, the Studio One installer software and the Audiobox two device, that's after you've registered your product, otherwise you can't download anything. I wish I cld add pictures but I can't see anywhere to load pics 🤦♀️.Update; after few months of use, this item can be a pain in the backside. Sometimes it clips, I don't know why it does that and it can be really annoying especially when you are flowing with a recording and all of a sudden it stops recording 🤦♀️, you just wanna smash it that minute 🙄.Update; the clipping stopped. Doesn't happen again. Like, it stopped completely. I enjoy recording with this item.

Brilliant interface and equipment, I love it
I am a total beginner to recording, and a technophobe! I found this incredibly easy to set up and have recorded quite a few bits. The microphone sounds brilliant. I’m really impressed how my voice sounds through it. I’ve used it to record guitar and ukulele too with similar great results. The only thing I found difficult is the studio one software. I just could not figure that out!! However, I got it all setup on garage band with no worries at all. If you have previous experience, maybe studio one would be a bit easier. I will figure it out at some point, since it seems to have a lit of very detailed functions. For now I’m very happy with my set up and using garage band, which has less functions but is more user friendly in my opinion.

Good and Bad
The headphones are rubbish. Obviously really cheap, don't fit right, plastic bits come off, barely any bass and the wire crackled. I had to buy some different ones. I can't access the software to try it out but I suppose that's partly my fault as I thought I would be able to get it to work on my chromebook laptop, but apparently not. So can't tell you what the software is like. The preamp is pretty good. It's basic but it works. There is nothing telling you what all the bits do though or how to use it. The microphone at least is pretty good. It has a lovely warm, clear sound. Just disappointed about the rest of the package

Gain is not fit for purpose
Basically I bought this in 2017, had a play with it, and it's been in the box since.I've recently started recording audio frequently, and I have found that the gain on both lines doesn't work as it should on these audio interfaces, basically the LAST few notches are the only gain settings you can use, otherwise you can't hear anything you've recorded. This isn't just a faulty interface, it is a WIDESPREAD issue, and according to Presonus, it's how it was designed. So I would suggest spending your hard earned cash on an interface that actually works correctly.

Fantastic, inexpensive for what it does, even I recorded something in under an hour!
I wanted something to make the most of garageband and add some ooomph to my website.I ordered it on this basis of some great communication with djandstudio as well as various you tube videos to ascertain whether or not I really need such an item. I was pleased with the answers combined and ideas came to mind of how this may be utilised with some other work ideas I had, vimeo vids for my clients and now podcasts easily integrated into my self managed website. I am not proficient in an instrument, i enjoy making noises. I work in healthcare not any technical industry. Im handy and curious with gadgets. So, i took the plunge and ordered. As usual with Amazon it arrives ridiculously quickly the following day.I finished work and summoned up the courage to ‘play’ with my new toy. Easily within the hour I had recorded some acoustic guitar with, lets call it singing! I can then share to my itunes and simply share, save, embed all over the place.I am lucky enough to own a macbook which may have made this simple.I looked at system settings and ‘presonus’ was there waiting to be clicked. (i may not have needed to though!!)In garageband, preferences, audio, in & out need to be on presonus, (again, option was there waiting for me). From the you tube tutorials I have watched I think presonus's software looks far more detailed and thorough which is too much for me, (at the moment).however I respect the effort and the fact its available to me. And the price is sensational for the work that has gone into it.Thank you very much, I have much to learn, best wishes, lezaScreen Shot 2016-04-28 at 09.27.26.pngScreen Shot 2016-04-28 at 09.27.47.png
