Fantastic Knee Brace Support
The media could not be loaded. I suffered a painful knee injury while cutting trees and moving branches in my garden recently. My GP diagnosed that I had a meniscus tear, due to the sudden changing of direction of my knee while lifting heavy tree branches. As a consequence my left knee temporarily buckled, while my right leg and foot were firmly planted on the ground and this caused stiffness and immediate lack of movement.Thankfully the pain receded quite quickly, but the discomfort has persisted for a few weeks. I had a CT scan at the hospital and the Doctor said that the problem should subside in the next few weeks. I still can't fully bend my leg as I did before and my GP did suggest to use ice packs regularly and to purchase a knee brace.I wear this knee brace every day, and it has certainly alleviated my discomfort. It was so comfortable, that I forgot to take it off one night, and didn't realise until I woke up in the morning, that I still had it on. I am happy in the knowledge that my knee is fully supported and cushioned as I make my recovery. It is extremely well made with 3 strong Velcro straps that allow the user to adjust it as tightly or loosely as they choose. The design is ingenious in that it fits all adults, regardless of size. Once secured firmly in position, it doesn't slip or slide around. The strap fits easily under my trousers and is completely conspicuous. It is simple to put on and to remove at the end of the day. I was slightly worried that it would make the surrounding part of my knee get scratchy or perspire, but it did neither. Therefore it can be safely concluded that the fabric of the support allows air to circulate naturally.I have started to go on long brisk walks again, conscious not to put too much stress on my knee. So far it has reacted positively and I feel that my knee is returning back to its previous healthy condition and my range of movement and flexibility are increasing progressively. Once my rehabilitation is complete, I will start light jogging and then take up running again. All the time, I will continue to wear the brace. I am part of a local football team which plays twice a week and will wear the brace when I participate in this activity too.I haven't had the need to clean or wash it, but I expect the maintenance is straightforward. Some washing up powder granules and then being soaked and rinsed in lukewarm water ought to be sufficient to clean the brace support. It is excellent value for money and the lifetime guarantee attests to the superior build quality. I just hope that I don't have a medical need to use it again.

Great knee support
Great knee support with this product, helped alot for walking and easing pain. The only downside for me (and it's minimal) is that the Velcro strap came right around and over lapped slightly onto the exposed circle of the skin on the front of my knee and caused irritation and scratching to my skin. Hasn't deterred me from using it but just something to be mindful about. Product itself is sturdy and well made.

Great support, well worth the money
I have a weak knee and when doing any kind of sport I experience discomfort, which if ignored escalates into considerable pain which can leave me limping. Previously I've used a simple, unadjustable tube support with limited effectiveness but from the moment I put this support on I could really see the difference and wish I'd bought it sooner. The adjustable straps give you a near perfect fit for optimal support and the removable struts down the side aid this. I use it for running, martial arts, snowboarding and work (which involves manual labor). I can now go a whole day snowboarding without any knee pain during or after which is very impressive considering. For activities like yoga the side struts can be removed for a greater range of movement but sitting cross legged is still difficult when wearing this support. All in all a very effective and robust product comfortable enough to wear all day if you take the time to adjust it carefully when you put it on. Does restrict the range of motion a little but for such a strong support that is a small price to pay.

The best support of its kind that I could find
Only need to wear it when there is a problem but it does its job well when needed. I play a lot of tennis and badminton and the excessive twisting and turing can cause ligament damage which take a while to repair at my age. Rest is what the physio will recommend but when there are matches to be played then you need another solution. Clearly if there is too much damahge then nothing will work but it will provide good support for many minor injuries. I tried on a number of other supports but they seemed heavy and cumbersome in comparison. My own physio was very impressed when I showed her this and took down the details for other clients. Its light, adjustable for tension and stiffness and so far has proved durable. These items are durable they let you carry on with life and that is invaluable.

Smaller length = a compromise on "hold"
This is a standard neoprene support as far as the last 30 years go.This is a SHORT knee cap open patella support, therefore it may not sit well during exercise compared to a longer unit which has longer straps for added security. The open patella "do-nut" is pathetic, i'm on my 4th support since 1992 & it is the least pronounced 've come across, ..may as well be absent.(for instance IF you are considering this because you have damaged your knee-cap, ex ACL operation or similar then the do-nut hardy protrudes forward enough to offer the brain & the skin tissue confidence of proper support when the knee is in contact with the ground, there simply isn't enough bulk there to be any use!Yes it is affordable but unless you have a short term injury you are likely better off buying a better hinged support with a bigger do-nut to allow more flexibility of movement overall (including weight bearing). This has only one smooth side, (the blue inner) whereas the black is the outer & will degrade prematurely as the velcro hooks seat directly onto both the stitching & the rough side of the neoprene which will also pick up detritus as you go along (outdoor mud granulation, burrs, twigs & brambles) ..& possibly catch on other clothing fabrics such as insulated lined ski & snowboard trousers.Don't expect it to last forever! ..poor generic design whereas a few more pence & a bit more stitching "COULD" have made for a far better trustworthy product.
