Works great
Bought this for our front room where the TV aerial cable goes through various extensions and a long distance from the external aerial. Works great and signal is perfect when plugged straight into the TV.Strangely isn't as good when plugged into a freeview HD box, but we can live without the HD.

Didn't work for me.
I sent for this to boost a TV in one room of the house that struggled to receive some channels, either because the set was unable to cope with weak signals or because that aerial feed was weaker that the others in the house. But, after fitting it (following the simple instructions carefully) it not only didn't help those channels, but some of the stations that previously had worked well were now breaking up.Fortunately Amazon make returns very easy, so it was no great problem to send it back for a full refund. Worth a try, I'd thought!

TV RECEPTION DIFFICULTIES RESOLVED.
This little piece of kit solved my tv reception problems in a trice. It is well made, very easy to install and comes with a very informative instruction leaflet. I consider it very good value for money and would recommend the product for those who experience difficult reception, particularly with indoor aerials. The item arrived within 36 hours from placement of order. The company and it's product delighted me by exceeding my expectations.

This is not a completely good design, since any "noise" picked up by the ...
This aerial booster is very small, quite neat and seems to work well. However, it is not designed for use outdoors, so it can only be used at the "receiver end" of the aerial cable. This is not a completely good design, since any "noise" picked up by the aerial cable (on its way from the aerial to the receiver) will be amplified along with the true signal. Aerial boosters work best if they are designed to be connected close to the aerial (at the "top" end of the aerial cable). If so, this means that only the true signal is amplified and reduces the possibility of the cable picking up interference/ noise.

Worked well and good value.
This worked well for me, boosting the signal from a 1byone paper thin aerial, by a noticeable amount, measured by a aerial db meter. As far as I can tell, its noise rejection is good. I am using this in an attic, not far from the aerial so is in use in a similar way to a masthead amplifier, but as another reviewer commented, it is not a mast head amplifier as the power supply is connected to the amplifier. Please note that the ON/OFF switch is tiny. I overlooked it and thought, initially, that I had a defective unit until I turned it on.

Amp didn't work for me, but excellent customer service did.
Ok, my original product review still stands as below, however these guys get the 5 stars for customer service. They contacted me directly about my poor reception issue and provided me with a better aerial free of charge. It has resolved the issue and I am very pleased.Original Review:First of all I think you need to be careful before you order this amp as its not a magic cure and it didn't work for me, but it obviously does work for some.I found that with the amp installed, I could only get 114 Channels, whereas without it the compatible 1byOne Indoor Aerial picked up 140.I also found that of the blocky weaker channels that were picked up with the amp installed, they were even blockier than without it.I'm really pleased with the indoor aerial, its mounted on the ground floor on a wall, and its only a few channels that are blocky or missing, so I thought this might just give it the signal boost it needed to cure it, but unfortunately it did not.

I wonder if this is related to the "self-oscillate"
Didn't work for me... I've got relatively low signal strength and am just on the edge of receiving some of the channels the kids like to watch (CBeebies HD for instance) so I thought this might help... As you can see from the two photos (before and after), it looked like it was going to be great. Signal strength boosted well. Unfortunately noise was being boosted as well since although my HD Homerun device was telling me I had 100% signal, I started to see "random" variations in the Signal to Noise (SNR) level. Sometimes it was OK, but frequently would get dropout on the channels I tested it with.I'm not sure if it's to do with the "self-oscillate" warning, but if so I'd like to know what "strong signal" means!Anyway, returning it now as it's no good for me - I guess others may have a better result?2 stars as it's a nice compact package and looks like it could work in the right circumstances.

As the saying goes, your mileage may vary... UPDATE - great customer service
Tried this as an alternative to a seven or eight year old booster to see if the technology had moved on, but the improved signal strength was marginal at best. At the price it was worth trying - I wasn't expecting miracles & have no complaints.UPDATE: Originally this was a 3-star review, reflecting the experience with product. Shortly after posting, however, the seller got in touch offering an apology and refund. I haven't changed the original wording of the review - as stated, it is well worth a try - but have upped the recommendation to 5 stars in order to reflect the quality of customer serve & would definitely recommend the seller.
