Tough as Nails
I trim quite a long distance along chain link fencing. Some line does not last long when trimming here. This line lasts longer than any other that I have used. A spool of this lasts a long time. I recommend this line very highly.

Simply the Best String Trimmer Line I've Ever Used
I find it comical that I'm actually leaving a review for string trimmer line, but that alone tells you how strongly I feel about it. In this case, I feel very strongly positive about Tanaka line and it is likely the only line I ever use again. I've been using string trimmers for years in a variety of environments, but the one constant was always the pain of replacing line. I've used bargain basement stuff that possessed the durability of a wet tissue and I've used the so-called "commercial grade" stuff from the original tool manufacturers. What I found was that just about all of it frayed, tangled, or just flat out snapped when coming into contact with anything outside of grass. After relocating our family last year, I found myself with a newly-purchased string trimmer full of standard, run-of-the-mill line. Shortly after the first two uses and about 472 curse words, I knew I needed something better. I found this gem on Amazon for a great price and pulled the trigger --- so glad I did.I've now used this twice around my entire house's landscaping beds, around the inside of 100+ foot of linear fence, and around 200+ linear foot of sidewalks, curbs & driveway. I was thrilled to see I had not even used half the string inside the trimmer head. This stuff is the flat-out the best I've ever used and Tanaka has a customer for life. The braided string holds up extremely well when in contact with concrete, stones, wood fencing and anything else a residential yard can throw at it. I experienced zero tangles and it sliced through grass, dirt and some seriously large weeds like a hot knife through butter. If you're tired of messing with brittle, broken, & tangled lines, order yourself some Tanaka line and spend those 15-20 minutes you save each time by relaxing with a beer.

Excellent product.
Excellent product. Lasts much longer and is more effective than any other product I've used. Stands up to bricks and stone when edging the garden. Our Tanaka weedeater reminds me of the old adage "you get what you pay for." It cost more, but sure beats buying a cheap one every year.

Tough durable trimmer string.
We use string trimmer line in a commercial application. Trust me we've tried them all! The Tanaka line is very durable and tough. It good on fences and for edging. I don't like that you can't get the 3 Lb or 5 LB spools. Also, it is somewhat more plastic and hard rather than rubbery and flexable, which makes it beat rather than cut tall grass in open spaces. We purchased it to replace string we previously got from Stens. G-force. Stens still catalogs it but they can't get it apparently. Now that was the perfect line although it was a little pricey.Over all, the Tanaka product is an okay replacement. We will probably purchase it again and will certainly look further for the larger quantity. We go through a lot of string.

Simply the best weed eater line.
I’ve been using this weed eater line for 7 years now. It’s simply the best weed eater line I’ve ever used. The other lines don’t even last half as long as this line or cut as well. I can finish an entire weed eating job without having to replace my line once. I’ll be using this line forever!

almost too tough
This trimmer line is so strong that the cutter on the guard has a tough time cutting it. It slaps and bangs around for a bit before cutting it to proper length.
