Perfect for soapmaking! 🍩
Love these moulds! They’re really easy to use & very good value for a pack of three. I used mine to make some melt & pour doughnut soaps as party favours for my best friend’s little ones’ birthday parties, & they were perfect for the job! Here’s some tips to save you the hassle of making any mistakes:Get organised! Have your moulds laid out ready where you intend to leave them, your fragrance measured out, & your colourant. You’ll need approximately 500g of melt & pour soap per six cavity mould. You have to work pretty quickly once the melt & pour soap is melted, because as soon as you add your fragrance & colourant, you can expect the mixture to start thickening up & wanting to set. (This varies with each type of colour or fragrance, some are a little more forgiving than others)Carefully pour your soap into each mould cavity (I melted my soap in the microwave on a medium setting, in a microwave safe jug, to make it easier to pour afterwards)After you pour into a cavity, immediately spray the soap with some isopropyl alcohol, this will help to disperse any bubbles on the surface of your soap. With my first batch, I made the mistake of trying to pour into all six cavities before going back to spray the alcohol - it’s too late by then, the bubbles won’t disappear. Always spray every time you’ve poured into a cavity, that way you’ll get rid of any bubbles before they have a chance to set.The great thing about melt & pour is if it starts setting before you finish pouring it, you can always pop it back into the microwave for a quick blast to melt the mixture again, before returning to pour it once more.Once you’ve finished pouring into your mould, leave it to set. The moulds aren’t rigid enough to try & move them about anywhere whilst they’re full of your setting soap. If you do try & move them, you run the risk of disturbing the setting mixture, which might make the soaps wrinkle or become uneven. After a few hours, your soaps should be ready to unmould. This is the satisfying bit! Your soaps should come out really easily, the moulds are fantastically flexible, making this part an absolute breeze. You can see from my picture, how they look straight out of the mould, a perfect shape, with a really smooth finish. Now you have a choice, you can either decorate the doughnuts as they are, (in which case you’ll have a rounded top, with a flat underside) or you can put two together to make a larger, “fuller” doughnut. I think they’re fine as they are (especially for party bags) but I did make a couple of the larger ones for the Birthday Boy & the Birthday Girl.If you want to sandwich two pieces together, use some melted melt & pour (either drizzle some, or spread some) on the insides of your doughnut halves & press them together, they should set really quickly. To “ice” or “glaze” your doughnuts, melt some more soap, add your colour & fragrance of choice & quickly dip the top of your doughnut into this mixture & immediately chuck on your sprinkles (my sprinkles are also made of soap, I wouldn’t recommend using actual sugar sprinkles from the bakery section, these can “bleed” colour & disintegrate) You have to work ridiculously quickly at this stage, because the “glaze/icing” is only a very thin coating, it sets almost as soon as you put it on. Et voilà! Not bad for a first attempt! The moulds are really easy to clean after use (especially if you’ve been making soap, in which case you’ll only need to add hot water & swish it around) & they dry in no time. I’m really impressed with how beautifully the soap doughnuts turn out straight from the moulds, I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of them in the future.I was thinking about using the moulds for bath bombs, but I don’t think it would work, I think even if you left the mixture to harden in them, it would crumble with the wiggling you have to do to demould, but the moulds are fantastic for soapmaking purposes, so I’m really happy with them!

Perfect for baking larger batches of donuts
I previously purchased a metal non-stick 6 ring donut pan which was percect the first few times I used it but its a faff for making larger batches as I could only do 6 at a time. I purchased this to creat donuts for a party and it was juet what I needed. Aslong as you put then on a baking tray before filling you will be fine as otherwise they are quite flimsy. I filled the rings just under halfway with mixture and once risen my recipe (Jane's Patisserie baked donuts) came out the perfect size. I did have to leave them in longer to brown and to be honest they still weren't that brown after extra time but not sure if this was due to oven temperature rather than the mould. The donuts were SO easy to remove and tasted great.

Nice and easy to use!
The silicone moulds work very well. Add a little grease to them before popping the mixture in and they slide right out when they’re done. The only issue I’ve had is that you have to be careful when moving the moulds around. If you have it sweet on a baking tray they still wobble a bit so you have to carefully place them in the oven to prevent the mixture from spilling out of the moulds.Other than that they work great. Definitely worth the purchase I you’re looking to bake donuts, bagels or any other ring shaped foods

Great non-stick silicone moulds for making bread or bagels...
Great non-stick silicone moulds for making bread and bagels. I use it to make keto foods. Excellent product that is so easy to clean both by hand and in Dishwasher. The only down side to these otherwise fantastic products, is that the moulds are very very flimsy. So becareful getting in and out of oven with bread mix as they have a habit of spilling out. So I use both moulds together to help with the sturdyness and to improve strength of structure. When you put one inside the other there is no issue and this helps to resolve the problem. I just then split them apart hen cleaning by hand or via the dishwasher.

Great little buy for home baking. Easy to use and clean, perfect!
I bought these because my 3 year old is obsessed with donuts at the moment and I wanted to try my own healthier baked versions at home. These mounds work so good, they are perfect for creating healthy treats! They are really easy to use and are definitely non stick. I was afraid of taking the donuts out of the mould and them not being in one piece, but they just pop right out! Great little buy, delighted with them.
