25 x POLYSTYRENE EPS Foam Packing Sheets 600x400x25mm

OK so this is cheap packaging polystyrene, not really intended for insulation use, but I needed to insulate the inside of a couple of big garage doors that lose heat or bake in the afternoon sun now I am using the garage as a workshop.So we are not talking building regs standards here. This was the cheapest way I could buy a lot of quite thick foam. Easily cut to size and shape with a sharp knife and stuck to the panels with spray adhesive, easy. (it is a course crumb foam so can get a bit messy, have the vacuum cleaner handy to clear up as you go)Worked! before, even in moderate sun you could feel the inside of the doors giving off lots of heat making the garage unpleasant. Now you can't feel anything on the inside surface and its a lot quieter in there too.

The product is good and just what I needed for packing boxes to protect items, but the problem was the delivery, as the seller uses EVRI, I ordered on 22 August and it was supposed to be next day delivery, it never arrived - after trying to get in touch with EVRI and being told ( by chatbot ) that it will be sorted out, my box finally arrived on 26 August. The product is fine but I will not buy any more from them because they use the useless EVRI as their so called courier.

They arrived in a large box, packed well but sadly 3 of the slates were damaged and unusable.I purchased these to add underneath my aquariums, they worked well for the job at hand, and were super easy to cut too! Would reccomend and would most certainly purchase them again!

Excellent Insulation Product - Have used these sheets to insulate the roof of my shed. Before using these, every time we had a heavy frost the inside of the roof became saturated due to condensation forming. (I realised this as it didn't happen when it rained, only if there was a frost). Having now insulated the roof with these sheets the condensation no longer forms there. The sheets are easy to cut with a sharp knife. I used a protracting craft utility knife (similar to a Stanley knife but with a longer edge to get through the thickness of the sheets) but an old kitchen knife would also do the same job.Tip: if using these sheets to insulate shed roof as I have done, I recommend using a good silicone sealant in corners and centre of each sheet to stick it to the roof boards. I was recommended this action by someone who had not initially done this & eventually the sheets came down but once he had used sealant they have stayed in place.I am going to re-order some more to use on the inside walls of the shed as they too get wet/damp with condensation when we have a frost. I thoroughly recommend these sheets.

My daughter lives in a 1930's house with solid freezing walls.In desperation we bought this and glued it onto the inside walls with solvent free gripfill glue.What a transformation!! The house is now warm/dry/comfortable.She is now looking at ways of papering and tiling over the top of this polystyrene.I know fire departments don't like this stuff, but they don't have to live with kids with constant Flu and Bronchitis, so until the government give some help to people struggling in houses with solid walls this will have to do.No more Bronchitis!! It is very brittle and packaging tape is unable to stick to it (Which for me personally makes it unsuitable for the items I want to pack) It seems to be very poor quality material.

Wish the corners were square and not rounded

The polsytrenesheets are easy to work with and cut to size with a sharp blade easily. I used them as an insulation and are okay for this purpose.
