Millie Marotta's Beautiful Birds and Treetop Treasures: A colouring book adventure: 5

I love all her books so much that I have several of each one. I also like to buy at least two as when I colour the pages I find that the picture overleaf shows the signs of where I have coloured. I would love the pictures to be on one side, I would not mind paying more to have this as her beautiful books are worth the money. Also I like buying more than one as I can use colours that are not the real colours of the bird or animal so my imagination can go wild. I prefer single page pictures to double ones. I wish that she brought her books out more often. I am enjoying doing this new book at the moment and have the spare one to do the others that are on the other sides. These have to be one of the best colouring books for adults that are on the market. Cannot wait for the next one.

I think this might be the best book Millie has produced so far.The paper is nice and bright and white, but like always you have to use water based pens or standard colouring pencils. My favourite pens are the stabilo 68, and 88's. You can buy matching sets here: STABILO Pen 68 Premium Pen - Wrap of 25, Assorted Colours STABILO Point 88 Fineliner Pen - Wrap of 25, Assorted Colours I have found that they are the only pens to use that will not bleed through the pages as like all of MIllie's other books this are unfortunately double sided printed.I have attached 5 pics so you can get an idea of some of the pictures in the book.I have been colouring now for many years on recommendation from my shrink, i have Cptsd and Bpd and i genuinely have found that it really helps to distract my mind from panic attacks and high stress levels. If you have never coloured before, and suffer with mental ill health like me, or just have a creative mind, i can highly recommend colouring and Millie's books.

As brilliant a colouring book as all of the others by Millie Marotta. I always enjoy any adult colouring book by Millie because of the intricacy of the pictures which are always a challenge to colour. The joy is that no two pictures will appear to be quite the same no matter how many times you have coloured a particular illustration over time. Both she and Johanna Basford are my illustrators of choice when colouring, they are unrivalled in my opinion.

Super pictures to colour. Not sure about use of both sides, remains to be seen if there is any bleed through to other side.

Exquisite. Beautiful designs with a range of intricate, less intricate images. Thick paper which takes wet [ish] media. Have used watercolour and acrylic washes for backgrounds. Look online and Instagram for examples of Millie's work which people have completed. Very beautiful and inspiring colourists out there. These MM books are the least twee books I have come across so far. No fairies or dragons here.

Good quality printing and paper must be a good GSM. Some pictures are more intricate than others so you can choose depending on how you feel. Book is a good size too. If using pens you do need quite fine tip ones, I've been using 0.4mm.

I love the paper quality it doesn’t ‘eat’ the pigment in my pencils and the pictures stay bright. A beautiful book with many lovely images

Beautiful photos on quality card-stock. The paper is thick enough that you can erase your mistakes without damaging the paper. The drawings are absolutely gorgeous :)

As the whole collection of coloring books by Millie Marotta this is another beautiful book with many different kind of birds and other animals. Quality paper, tick and nice white pages that holds watercolor and make easy coloring with most brands of coloring pencils. Perfect fitting of illustrations on both sides of the pages. Delivery was right in time as always.
