I bought this to replace the pump in my pet wayer bowl. This works great. Very quiet as well.

Worked great for the cat water bowl we already had. I'm sure we'll need to buy another one down the road, because these little motors run 24 hours a day and just stop. But the price is good enough that's no issue.

The main difference between this filter and one sold for aquariums or garden fountains, what have you, is...um...yeah, pretty much no difference.Except! With this one they are listing the cat fountains with which it will properly work, based on its dimensions, and I'm not entirely sure if there might be some variance with this or that brand of aquarium fountain that makes it unsuitable. My general plan is I measure, compare - if the listing has dimensions listed - then comb through the reviews and hope some helpful other-pet-owner with the right brand of fountain has posted their results. Also, my own experience is that brands and manufacturers change - I am rarely buying the same pump a second time, years later.This one is working well, and should continue to for I'd expect at least 3-5 years unless I do something dumb like let it run dry. (Huge, HUGE no-no. Don't even let the water dip down past half way in the fountain would be my advice.) I don't expect, but will report here, any premature failure.

I use it for my cats water fountain I give it 4 stars bc I have to replace every few months bc it doesn't stop it from getting cat fur in it bc it doesn't have a filter protector so the pump gives out before 5 months.

Super quiet! Great replacement and fits well with my cat's drinking fountain. I would buy again.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed! Pump is extremely weak. The pump I replaced it with still worked but was no longer flowing as strongly as it was when it was new. My old pump was 5 years old but still had a better water flow than this new one. The original pumps were great. People would ask if there was water running in my house because you could hear the sound of the water flowing but you can't even barely hear a trickle with how weak this one is.It does look exactly the same as the original pump with the exception of the blue cap. It looks the same but does not in any way perform the same. I will be returning this pump.

this pump is better than the original pump that came with my PetSafe Drinkwell Platinum Cat Water Fountain. it's easy to tear down and clean. good flow. easy recommend

Received product very quickly and it is functioning as expected. Good value for the money.
