Root Concealer Stick in Medium Brown is a lifesaver!
The Roux 'Tween Time Instant Root Concealer Stick in Medium Brown is a lifesaver! This little stick is perfect for those in-between salon visits when my roots start to show. The color blends seamlessly with my natural hair, and the application is super easy – just a few swipes and my roots are covered. It’s compact and convenient, making it easy to carry in my purse for quick touchups on the go. What I love most is that it stays put until I wash it out, so I don’t have to worry about any smudging or fading throughout the day. This product is a must-have for anyone looking to maintain a flawless look between hair colorings. Highly recommend!

Exactly what I needed!
I got this hair crayon on the advice of my hairstylist because my hair grows fast and I can’t get it colored as often as it needs to. This hair crayon is exactly what I needed! I use the medium brown crayon between 1 and 2 weeks before the next hair coloring appointment. It covers my grey and white hair while giving it a very natural appearance. The crayon is very easy to apply. Just lightly swipe the crayon over the white/grey hair and use your fingers to blend in. It doesn’t fade or run when I get sweaty but washes out easily. It is also helpful in the areas where I have less hair. As my hair is dark, it softens the contrast between my scalp and hair. A little goes a long way so you don’t use much. It washes off the fingers with soap and water so there isn’t any staining of the fingers. I didn’t notice if it has a fragrance, but I don’t think it does. I definitely recommend Roux Tween Time Hair Crayon.

This product has changed my life!!
I've been coloring my own hair for many years with over-the-counter products. Even at 60, my hair grows pretty fast and I was always faced with either coloring it every 3-4 weeks or being embarrassed about the grey gradually showing at the roots until the next coloring. Though coloring it myself is pretty inexpensive, it takes time out of a busy day. Then I discovered Roux's "'Tween Time". I've been using it for over a year now and I've been THRILLED at how well it works! I wash my hair once a week and apply it to my wet hair. I only need to apply it where the hair is parted and where the roots show at the back of my head. I bought the dark brown when I was using a darker hair color, but I've found it doesn't matter what hair color I use. It still blends and colors over that nasty grey. In fact, I will kind of streak it to give myself some sort of multi-color highlight look. I can go many, many weeks now before I have to color my hair. When I was visiting an out-of-town family member recently, I needed to cover those roots so I bought a spray. It was awful! Hard to use, impossible to target the right areas! That's why when I came back home I simply HAD to write a review on this wonderful product!

Great product when you don't want to dye your gray just yet.
This product is a little tricky to get use to at first. You do have to moisten it pretty well for it to work. Like another reviewer said, I put a small cup of water next to me while I am applying this to my hair and dip the product into the water several times during the process. At first it comes out very sticky and looks wet. It does have a smell which is not that great but you get use to it and it does go away after a while. It does dry very well and can be brushed which causes it to soften up and not look so sticky. I am very happy with this product as far as it doing what I need it to do. My gray grows in too quickly for me to constantly dye it. So, After I apply all my makeup and am ready to head out the door, I dip this in a cup of water , apply to my hair, wait a few minutes for it to dry, brush out my hair and viola! The gray is covered! Just have patience, take your time and you will be pleased with it.

Works exactly as expected
The Roux Temporary Haircolor Touch-up stick works exactly as expected. I had used a similar product in the past and this was as good if not better. The few reviews that I read about it not spreading properly must have been because they weren't wetting the tip before applying (read the directions?). If you do, it works perfectly. And as far as the smell, I found the odor to be minimal and not offensive at all. Much less than most hair products, hair sprays, gels, perms or colors! I find it works best if you lift the hair with a brush or comb and apply to the roots as you move upward. It will get on your skin if it's real wet and you push too hard, but you can just wipe it off with a damp tissue. I have very dark brown hair and this covers the shiny grays as they grow out between colors. It definitely tones them down and makes it look natural until I can get colored again. It is "temporary" and will wash out with your next shampoo or if you go swimming but I find it lasts all day and have never had it run even if I sweat. I recommend this to anyone who wants to minimize the harsh contrast while your gray is growing out.

Do you need better eyebrows??
I don't know if I should do this or not, but I'm going to review this for an alternative use -- eyebrows. For the hair on your head, it depends on how much gray you're trying to cover. Wet it first, and it does okay if you are only trying to conceal a little bit. More than a little, don't bother. But for eyebrows, it's a different story! And I don't mean just covering gray hairs, I mean painting on some eyebrows. I have discovered that if I wet the crayon and then use a Q-tip to pick up a bunch of color on one end, I can make my eyebrows look like there's a lot more there than there actually is. As I've aged, I've lost a lot of my eyebrow hair, especially toward the outer ends. But this is by far the best eyebrow makeup I've ever used, and it ends up looking so natural! Just sweep or dab that Q-tip with a lot of the wet color over your brow, then take the other clean end and go over your brow lightly again to smooth it all out or clean up any place you colored outside of the lines -- totally amazing. After a couple times, it is very easy to do. I don't know what possessed me to try this, but I sure do love having good looking, no fuss eyebrows again!

3.5 stars - does its job well, but is also slightly annoying
Roux Touch-Up Stick looks like a giant brown lipstick coming out of the container. It needs to be wetted thoroughly, and then rubbed onto the hair you want to color. The coverage is good, it's masks my gray roots enough so that they're not really noticeable. On the downside, it will rub off a lot while your still damp in your roots. So, be careful! It rubs off a little even when it dries, too. So, don't fix your hair where you can't wash your hands. The smell is pretty overpowering at first but it doesn't last, thankfully. Last, it can leave the portions of the hair rather waxy and textured where applied. Overall it's a nice cheap way to save some $$ in between colors, if you don't mind some minor issues.

Useful Grey Hair Cover for Daily Use
This is great for filling in your Grey hairs. I primarily use it for my low beard and sideburns. But remember, this is temporary and some of it will come off if your hand grazes your face. But if you're looking for a daily application of color touch up, this is great. If you have a gf or wife and you kiss her with this on your beard, some of it will rub off on her face! lol So, in summary, as long as you or others don't touch your face/head, it looks good.
