I call it my cosmic kettle because it lights up red and wow it looks so pretty for a kettle.I love the shape and the fact I can see the water boiling inside.The best bit is it fits alot of water inside and when it lights up red the water looks so cool.❤ It's a good weight it's not light to pick up but it's not heavy either.Perfect solid weight.Looks glamorous and expensive. Worth the money and I hope it lasts forever.We love our new kettle and if you like things that illuminate this you'll adore.💖💖💖

Really nice kettle. Obviously easier to see how much water is in it. The blue light is a nice touch and the lid has a latch you have to pull to open/close it, which is good for safety. I was going to buy one of these on Groupon, but checked Amazon and the price for the exact same kettle was cheaper on Amazon. So, I never trust the deals websites prices anymore.On a side note, our kettles get a build up of limescale every other week. The element in this kettle is much better, because it is the very bottom of the kettle, rather than a raised element ring. This makes it easier to descale, because it takes much less vinegar to cover the metal base, than it would with a raised element. So, it saves money, using less vinegar to clean.[Some of you may not know this, but vinegar is extremely effective at clearing limescale. It literally eats it away like acid. 10-15ml of vinegar was enough to clean this kettle.]

I like the way it lights up, I like how it looks. It does what it's supposed to do.The minor issues are that the light isn't very bright, so you're mainly going to see it during the evenings or overcast days. During the day it's more of a glow around the bottom, which is still pleasing but it's not going to look like in the images.Other than that, there are some planned obsolesce features. The silver around the top is painted over plastic and so designed to crack and look ugly after a few years of use (the steam gets to it) to encourage you to buy a new one, the shut-off mechanism similarity can start failing after 2-3 years.There is also a minor issue where it can drip a little when pouring sometimes.

The original item received was faulty: the handle cover came off after only 3 uses, exposing the wiring inside and had to be secured in place with insulating tape. However, after contacting the seller with photos there was a speedy replacement sent. The replacement is a great kettle: its easy to see how much water is in it, the blue LED looks good when boiling, its quick to boil and its easy to fill with the wide opening top. One point worthy of note is that this is a fairly hefty kettle and some may prefer a lighter one.

A nice looking kettle when it lights up red whilst boiling. But having owned it only a few weeks now the sealant at the bottom of the glass part where it meets the plastic base has expanded and coming away in bits as tough as glass.

Love this kettle! I live in a very hard water area, so once a week I have to take a scourer gently round the bottom edge of the kettle, but that's nothing to do with the kettle at all.It is very much quieter than my old kettle (I used to think there was a helicopter above my house!), so I'm delighted with that.The only thing I would quibble about, is that it takes a long time to go off when it is boiling. But if I'm there, I can see that it's boiling, and just hit the switch and use it :)Edit to Add 28.01.18 Well I have had this kettle for just under 3 months now, and I have loved it. Unfortunately, I've just gone into my kitchen, to water all over the worktop. Somehow the glass has broken near the bottom and the kettle is now in the bin. There are only my husband and myself in the house, so it's had no rough treatment, so I would say to be very wary of the glass breaking. I don't believe this is either a seller or manufacture problem, but simply because it's glass. I can only assume that we have bumped it, though certainly not bumped hard as neither of us remember doing so. Thankfully the water in it was cold, but boiling water would have been a much worse issue.Back to metal <sigh>

**EDIT** After posting this review I decided to contact NEO customer service personally and they were very helpful and I can't fault their customer service.I have purchased two of these kettles over the years both having the same issue develop.I first purchased this kettle in October 2017 and I loved the contemporary look and feel of it. This kettle started leaking around the base where the glass joins the plastic at the seal and glass fragments started coming out of it. I thought this might be a one off and since I liked the look of the kettle purchased another identical one on 15 April 2020.This kettle (purchased 15 April 2020) in the last month has also started to develop the same leakage around the seal of the glass going to the plastic base (this time starting at the seal directly below the spout). This resulted in boiling water coming from the base onto my foot whilst I was pouring the water into a mug.The kettle is has a lovely look however with two separate kettles developing the same issue it is a serious problem and from experience with the first kettle it is only going to get worse with more of the joining seal coming away and glass fragments going to appear on the surface.Disappointing and dangerous.

Recieved a faulty one. Gutted. Love a cup of tea. It was the base. Emailed the seller, had an automated response. We've all been there before I thought. Two days later a new kettle turns up.What a kettle. Boils water. Lights up and looks good. All is good. Nice customer service.
