Magnesium Flakes

It is of no use, I made my own spray with it, the flakes and water, no tingling, no stinging, nothing, got nothing from it other than sticky skin. After buying and using it I then did some research about this type of therapy and it's nonsense basically. I suggest that you research this before buying it, I threw it in the bin. The reason that I thought of using this was after reading how magnesium supplementation can cause diarrhea and thought oh this is a way to avoid that. I will now research magnesium supplementation properly, start on a low dose and see what my body can tolerate.

I think it's obviously a very personal thing as to whether these work for you or not. I bought these because of the reviews and because I love bath salts, and generally get something approaching the experience most positive reviewers are describing here from bath salts. These really just made me feel a bit strange, and I had really bad dreams and slept terribly after using them. Possibly unconnected but never usually feel the way I did after using them, and haven't again.

I do not understand the claims made for this product. The manufacturer states “ 1kg of Magnesium Flakes contains 120g of elemental magnesium chloride”. Surely, ‘elemental magnesium chloride’ is an oxymoron - it is by definition a compound, so cannot be elemental anything. Do they mean elemental magnesium (the metal)?

I love the Better You range, and this is my go-to brand for magnesium flakes. I used to use their magnesium spray but find a bath much more enjoyable and less sticky/oily than the spray. I do work out a lot, and find that this is great for not only soothing tired, achey muscles but replenishing electrolytes lost from sweat - I drink electrolytes during an endurance workout, but it's nice to have a magnesium bath also. It smells quite neutral but creates a lovely steamy bath with plain, hot water. Combined with my massage gun, I'm recovering better from workouts and I'm sleeping better on days I have a magnesium bath. I have this on Subscribe and Save for regular delivery, so it knocks an extra 15% off with my other items, making it better value than buying alone.

Good product, helped stop night leg pains, but you can get much cheaper in bulk from other sellers. Here you are paying for fancy branding.

I was really keen to try this product because I suffer from muscle aches and pains and I'm keen to find anything that helps. I also have arthritis in my lower back and knees and felt that my pain eased after a bath and I felt much more relaxed than usual which aided my sleep. My only slight concern was that I suffer from eczema and I did feel it cause my skin to become especially dry and so it's not something I would be able to use all the time and I'd say that most people would probably need to moisturise afterwards. Delivery was speedy and the product is very good value for money. I'd definitely recommend it in particular for anyone who muscle aches and pains.

Product is good i think, but the bag was split so oil got everywhere and I had to find a large plastic box to put it in, although I really didn't want to put it in plastic. Go to a local store to buy instead, the packaging of the actual product is like a thin foil so difficult to mail out - that's what I do anyway and it doesn't cost me much more and isn't that heavy.

since many people seeking helpful remedies might be unwell and lacking in funds, I want to point out something I discovered since purchasing this. Epsom salts. They are much much cheaper than this rather expensive branded product. 10kg epsom salt for under £12, on an auction website. It's not patented, that's why it's cheaper than this heavily marketed item. Epsom salt is high in magnesium, which also makes it a good detox soak; the magnesium is used by your body to help remove heavy metals. It can even help your body reduce bruises. Do a search on the benefits of Epsom salt if you're interested in reading more about it.

We bought this salt for a long time when my child had some sleep difficulties and a few health-related issues. I feel that it helped as part of our overall routine. It seemed to calm him during bath time, and I noticed that he fell asleep more easily afterward. At one time we used it almost every day, and now we use it only occasionally, about once a week. Since those problems have improved, we do not need it as often anymore, but we still really like this bath salt and are very happy with it. Great product! I put a little in a hot bath every now & again, but nightly I spray some on the bottom of my feet. Dissolve a few teaspoons in some hot water then put in a spray bottle, spray on bottoms of feet nightly & cover w/socks once absorbed. I promise you'll thank me! Also, you can spray it on muscle aches. Your armpits if you don't wear deodorant (I wear deo, but bf doesn't & this keeps the sweat smell away).
