Great tool for the money

The clamp set just came today. I was waitng for it to come so that I could crimp some hoses on an old Fiat 124 from the brake fluid reservoir to the master cylinder. I've used "Otiker" type clamps before so I'm pretty familiar with them. This kit seemed like a good deal. Not terribly expensive and a good selection of useful sizes.The pliers were a bonus, I had a pair so these are just an extra pair. I did try them and they work well. The Otiker branded pliers that I have are nice and slightly different than the ones that come in the kit. The Otiker's when the plier is fully closed the jaws don't touch. The jaws on the Otiker pliers are not sharp either. The pliers in the kit are more of an end cutter, the jaws are completely closed when the plier is fully closed and the jaws are sharp like a cutting tool. They work just as well for setting the clamps as the pupose built Otiker crimping pliers.All in all the Virgue clamp kit is a great value. You get a great size assortment and the pliers to crimp the clamps. For the money you can't go wrong.

I found the kit to be useful and the clamps of respectable quality. The crimp pliers are satisfactory for their purpose and of good quality. The clamps work as expected. The plastic divider box that the kit comes in was broken due to poor packaging by Amazon who sent the item in a shipping bag. I requested a replacement and the crimp pliers broke through the box on both occasions due to their weight and not being padded in the box. Amazon should not send this kit in a bag and the pliers should be padded inside the box to protect the item. The only option now is to return for refund but I doubt highly the third order will arrive unbroken since the first two tries had the same damages. I would appreciate an unbroken box if one is available.

This kit was of high quality. It came with a good assortment of sizes. I was unable to find anything like this in a retail store near me. Better than any screw thread hose clamp.

Great product

I needed to install a fuel filter and shut off valve on my 57 Ford tractor. I didn’t want the clutter of screw type hose clamps.Easy to use, and they look great!
