Great Bluetooth adapter with range being a slight but small issue.
Fantastic Bluetooth Dongle for XBOX One S connected to PC via Bluetooth.Pros-Works with Windows 10 no driver installs required-Works with Xbox One S (This is the newer controller release sometimes people call it a V2 controller)-Works with latest smartphones for the odd photo transfer-Works with my Sony MDR Bluetooth over ear headphonesThe not so good-Range is quite limitedBasically the dongle just works as it should being a 4.0 adapter its one of the latest Bluetooth versions i believe the very latest is 4.1?The device lets its self down on range when attached to the back of a desktop PC where many many factors that can affect range come into play - having speakers near the dongle, positioning behind a PC desktop etc... they all take away from its already fairly limited range. To get around range issues i personally use the dongle In a front USB port located at the front of my gaming PC / tower if you didn't have this option available to you then I'd recommend buying a USB port extender so you can place the dongle in a much better position.

All the firmware blobs are closed-source, and much Broadcom code is, to use a technical term , rubbish. This device appers to work well with the current blob

Works almost perfect
Its a very small item but very easy to install. Just insert it into a device that doesnt already have bluetooth and boom you're done. However I feel the need to write some of my very negetive experiences with this. First of all I bought this because I have a Windows 10 computer that doesnt have built in bluetooth and I have a pair of Sony WH-CH500 wireless headphones. So I bought this, put it into the pc and bluetooth was enabled. HOWEVER, this device also comes with a CD with bluetooth software and I just have to say this as clearly as possible:DO NOT INSTALL THE SOFTWARE ON THE CD IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES TO A PC.I installed the CD software and then paired my headphones while then later serverly regretting that decission. Long story short - the headphones did not work properly with the dongle. I had all sorts of problems like the audio quality being horrible, I had to manually connect the headphones in windows every time I turned them on and I even had aBLUE SCREEN at one point. After days of pulling my hair out trying to get the headphones to not sound awful (I also confirmed it wasn't the headphones fault by connecting them to my phone and they were crystal clear) I found and uninstalled the bluetooth disk software and the headphones have worked perfectly ever since. No awful sound quality and they automatically connect every time. So all in all a great device it does exactly what it says it does very simply. But for the love of god if you do try bluetooth headphones with this, make sure to just try the dongle by itself first.

Great device!
The device is great! Good value for money and excellent connectivity! But there is a problem with it's installation on the computer: there is the installation disk with the original drivers and utility for using this device. After quick installation it starts working, BUT.... The connectivity is awful, not stable with a lot of interruption. To fix it all you need to do just a remove original driver and allow the system to install it by Microsoft. That's it! Or it's better DO NOT INSTALL THE ORIGINAL DRIVER FROM THE INSTALLATION DISK ALL THE TIME! Just plug it into the computer and allow the system do the rest. After that it will start to work perfectly.
