is the model made of metal?

Like most diecast models these days, metal body but with many small plastic parts too

Was this item supposed to come with a black platform? Because mine arrived without.

The model is attached to a black plastic platform within its packaging. The model can be unboxed and displayed on this platform, or it can be removed from the platform by taking out the 2 retaining screws accessed from the underside.

It says assorted colours, how can i make sure i get a red one?

It was while ago since I ordered this but I did get the red one not sure if they options at that time... I would send the seller a request or you can order it and then send him an email to request red colour.
