I absolutely love Fairy Tail. I find the characters really interesting and, for the most part, likeable. The writing and plot is good, and I really enjoy the lengthy arcs that they do. The characters and writing are good enough to pull you in, and prompt emotional reactions.The packaging is sufficient and the artwork is nice.WARNING: COLLECTION 5 ONWARDS IS NO LONGER PRODUCED IN THE UK.I only recently discovered anime, and as I was due to have surgery, I bought a few DVD box sets to explore whilst I was recovering. I bought Collections 1-4 of Fairy Tail and noticed that Collection 5, according to Wikipedia, was due out in November in the UK.It never came out.Two weeks after the supposed release date and Manga UK were still ignoring all of my Facebook and Twitter messages. They also ignored e-mails to [email protected]. They still haven't replied to this day actually.Apparently, according to many trustworthy sources, Manga UK lost the distribution rights for Fairy Tail in the UK. You will now need a multi region DVD or Blu Ray player and will have to buy from abroad to get Collection 5 onwards (5 having only come out in November 2015). The US version might be cheapest, but it is a DVD/Blu-ray combo and so costs about £10 more than the UK one did. The packaging also includes the addition of a thick blue Blu-ray/DVD combo pack label across the top, which might upset people with OCD who have the first 4 collections with the different, UK packaging.I did a lot of research into it and found one really, really, really, obscure announcement on an anime/manga website which officially announced Manga UK ceasing production after collection 4. It wasn't easy to find though and they still released collection 4 long after this announcement. For those like me, new to anime, buying these box sets after the one single announcement was made about the discontinuation of region 2 DVDs, then it's a little annoying.Some US based vendors are listing the US region 1 box sets on the UK Amazon (thank you!).

Fairytail is my favourite Anime series. I the first series off a friend originally and loved it so much I bough it for myself. If you love magic (all kinds and kinds you never even imagine could exist), a good plot, fun, lovable characters and the idea of a world full of magic Fairytail is for you.For those of you that are reading this, and will fall in love after watching these series be warned the collections stop after collection 4 so you have to start buying 'parts'. After collection 4, when you get that far, start buying Part 9+ and it will follow the series perfectly. ALSO! There is a film, which is like a super long awesome episode!For people planning to buy for children it doesn't have any swearing (that I can remember) like some other anime's do.ENJOY!

Never heard of Fairy Tail until I watched the 'FairyTail - Phoenix Princess' movie recently and was quite entertained.Decided to get some Fairy Tail series boxes for the summer holidays. Its not Akira or Avatar, but the characters are endearingly 'over the top', theres plenty of action and laughs - and even a few serious moments. Very good, The cartoon style is interesting with vivid colours and the core characters generally having fairly bland 'big' faces, but some incidental characters have quite detailed faces.The item arrived packed OK, on time and undamaged. The set consists of 4 DVDs is an oversized (probably double width) DVD box - four disk spindles, two on the inside of each cover and the four disks mounted in overlapping pairs. No extra content as far as I can see, just the episodes.Be aware that Fairy Tale is a long running series spanning seven (maybe more?) seasons. The first four box sets (the ones that I bought) seem to be fairly priced and readily available. The subsequent ones seem to be expensive/rare Bluray or NTSC DVD only - hopefully they'll appear on UK DVD sooner rather than later, but the initial sets will keep us going for some time.

This set of four DVD’s came factory sealed.Fantastic artwork and the DVD’s themselves also have gorgeous shiny artwork. I do love a decorated DVD!24 episodes in total spread over the 4 DVD’s for less than £10. An absolute bargain. I also have the next two box sets to watch 😍

After defeating the imposter, Natsu invites Lucy to join Fairy Tail.Fairy Tail is an excellent series, and a valued addition to anyone's library.

Let me put it bluntly. The attitude and ambiance of Fairy Tail, as well as their awesome care and cameraderie got to me in a way I never thought possible. That was from reading the manga. When a friend passed away, it was a no brained to get the logo tattooed onto my arm. Seeing my favourite characters on screen was wonderful, and as you watch more and more and learn about them more and more, their sadness, happiness and laughter become to mean more for you, and thus take form. OK, sounds creepy I know. But give it a shot. Natsu and his friends will stay with me forever, like some of my favourite characters from my favourite novels.

My favourite anime ever

Recently I purchased this product for myself and my mother. She's become a fan of anime like me. We were thrilled when the Fairy Tale Collection One Bluray+ DVD combo pack came, along with our Zootopia and Ride Along 2 movies. If you're new to anime, a fan of Naruto, or just looking for a good anime to watch. Then Fairy Tale is the anime for you. It's like Naruto minus the ninjas and ninjutsu. This anime is set in a world where magic is used for every day things and combat. Natsu is the main protagonist who's a powerful wizard, that was raised by a fire dragon. He excells in fire magic and uses it in close quarters combat to perform amazing feats. He's goofy like Naruto and has a rival named Grey. A ice wizard who's just as powerful as him, but has a issue keeping his clothes on haha. They're members of a famous guild with powerful wizards called "Fairy Tale". Together with Lucy, a Celestial Wizard who makes contracts with celestial spirits. She summons them to fight with her in battle. Using magical keys called "Gate Keys ". Plus Erza a girl who's a wicked strong wizard, who uses her magic to summon magical weapons and magical armor for combat. Kinda like how TenTen from Naruto can summon ninja tools using a transportation technique. Natsu,Grey, Lucy, Erza, and Happy the cat. Natsu's talking blue buddy that has Angel wings and uses aero magic. They go on epic action packed journeys filled with lots of laughs. This box set has 24 episodes and does end on a cliffhanger. As someone else mentioned in a review I saw.So if this is a anime you've been wanting to see for along time. Then purchase this collection and collection 2 together. I would've but I really wanted to see the two movies I mentioned too. My mom and I have a new favorite anime now. She really enjoyed it as much as me. We ended up binge watching the whole thing in a couple of days. It was just so good. A great story and likeable characters too. I liked Natsu right off the bat. Grey became another instant favorite. He's just so cool, no pun intended lol. Anyway this box set is totally worth buying. Watch it in English or Japanese with English sub titles. Either way it's very entertaining. You won't regret purchasing this item. The anime is addicting that's for sure.

Best condition I've ever got a product from Amazon. It was in such good condition the slip cover had not even a slight bend on it where it shouldn't be.I ordered Boxing day and picked free SAVE shipping which told me it would come Jan 6th while 1 day shipping said Dec 29th. I got it Dec 28th, which is a Sunday, great service. I'll be getting Collection 2 and 3 soon.Fairy Tail is a Fun Magic adventure/comedy series that currently has over 200 produced episodes. It's quite unique and wacky, pays homage to earlier series by the creator as well as other shows of the past. It's the new generation of the long running titles like Bleach, Naruto, DB, and OP. It's just the beginning and I can promise if you even remotely think this is a decent start of a show with potential you won't be disappointed. I will note, this series the first 48 episodes are more about introducing the main characters and understanding them. After that is when things really start to build up
