Mind Maps for Medical Students (xx xx) Paperback – 27 Jan. 2015

Credit to the author for creating this book - it was handy to have alongside my lengthy notes. This book provided me with a useful overview of conditions during revision time. This book should not serve as a replacement of clinical texts (the author also states this), but is useful for supplementing your own revision notes.The mind-maps contain useful acronyms that I had not come across before. Each branch of the mind-map relates to cause, pathophysiology, investigations, treatments and complications. As far as I could tell, the investigations and treatment sections were in line with most recent NICE guidelines.I bought this book as a last minute revision aid a week or so before my exam - really helped calm me down and put complicated conditions into perspective!EDIT: I used this back in my third year of medical school. This book is not enough to get you through medical school finals, but is still a nice little compact book to supplement your own notes.

Great little book! Fits Easily in kit bag.Easy to use as a memory jogger on shift.Great revision aid.Easy to read and use.I bought Kindle copy and paperback book.Only problem with Kindle copy is that it splits the pages horizontally and cuts the flow charts in half - so have to scroll to see the whole chart.Excellent resource nevertheless.

Very prompt and I'm very good condition for a used item

This is a fantastic revision tool! BUT!!! there are a few mistakes here and there so do take everything you read with a pinch of salt. I've recommended this book to many friends but for example. It has a mistake with Duke's staging for colorectal carcinomas... "Muscularis propria" substituted with "musclaris mucosae"My flat mate said he found some errors with it as well and I do have a few other small things but I do not want to put you off ordering this book because it's fantastic and I've been using it solidly throughout my revision for weeks.

I have never written a review before (although I buy a lot of stuff!) but this book is AMAZING. It is a brilliant revision tool that has saved me tons of time. I didn't expect it to be so thorough. I am recommending it to all of my 1-3rd and even 4th year friends. If you are tight on money and unsure if it is worth the cash IT IS. Massive thanks to the author

Excellent resource for revising. The mind map format allows you to see a topic at a glance. I wouldn't recommend using the book for learning a topic the first time as it lacks certain detail, but great for revising once you have learn a topic.

Great book, great if you need a quick refresher or if you're not sure about the things you need to know about for a certain condition. I would recommend this book.
