THE HEAVY HEAVY MONSTER SOUND
This tube is awesome, and it is way beyond what you would expect for its size, I have wedged it behind the seat and boy does it pack a punch, there is NO rattling, just clean clear bass that just brings the music alive, worth twice what I paid for it, at first I was temped to get the 8" but I am so glad I settled for the 10" its light weight, but gives a deep heavy (I REALLY MEAN HEAVY) sound, GREAT STUFF Bass Face, well done!Let me just say that there are a lot of people that by their comments, are obviously very confused about power ratings, first of all every manufacture quotes peak power, and in the age of digital music that has some advantage, as the music is much more dynamic today than analogue used to be, so the peak or transient response is vital, but the true figure for the actual power is usually one quarter of the peak figure. And that does not matter quite as much as many people imagine. (So high peak power will cope with sudden bursts of electrical energy deriving from modern recorded audio materials without distorting). Like revving a well tuned race car, it can take it.As for actual sound from a loudspeaker RMS (root mean square) power or even peak power tell you nothing useful about loudness, for that you need to know the 'db per one watt per meter' as well as the 'maximum db output', (about 136db -140db is equivalent to standing on a runway as a jet takes off, very few speakers could ever attain that level, but the higher the max in db the better and more efficient the unit, hence most manufactures 'Do Not' quote this as they would be embarrassed). What the peak or even RMS Power does tell you however, is how much actual current the copper winding can handle safely before glowing hot and burning the wire causing failure. (watts in this case is more akin to the HEAT capabilities than to sound). This means that something rated at a 1000+ watts but is 89db per watt per meter, may sound impressive to the ignorant, yet will never be as loud as something that is rated 100 watts but is 110db per watt per meter, the second being roughly 10x louder than the first, (the decibel scale is logarithmic) and so the 1000 watts unit just need more power to work been less efficient, there are many other factors of-course but raw power really tell you NOTHING useful, that is how people get into BIG trouble, and end up buying a lot of watts for a very little result. In other words 5000 watts through very inefficient speakers is meaningless and a total waste of money, like having a car with massive engine and stupid clown suspension, feeble brakes and skinny bald tires, only for posers and idiots. (Having said that I must add, in terms of actual quality we 'generally' only get 'what we pay for') Therefore when we do actually get MORE that expected, as in this case, it is a pleasant and delightful surprise!

is not at my expectations... I have ...
is not at my expectations... I have to keep the amplifier at low level or it will be broke soon. doesn't have the RMS value specified in the description

Good value.
Amazing value for money and appears well built with sound deadening carpet on the outside. Almost too cheap - how can they make and post it for this much?Don't think I'd describe it as compact though as it seems pretty big to me! It would also be nice if there was basic fittings for mounting these things as obviously they are an awkward shape. I have mine stuffed in under the rear wing in the boot.As for sound quality - well this is my first car sub so I have nothing to compare it with. Can't help wanting to try a more expensive one to see if I'm missing something tho....

happy audiophile
ok, let me start by saying, its not much over £30 but! and this is a big but. I am impressed, ok the woofers affective diameter is 8" the box is just over 10", but it is happy sat amongst a sony str-dh550, and a big set of floor standers, now as a precaution I immediately swapped out the match stick thick wires for more durable 2 core mains cable. I am running it at a stable 175w from a mono power amp, 60hz crossover. I'm also tempted to buy another, which will fill the 2 subwoofer out's.... looks great sounds great and as long as you don't overdrive your amp I can imagine it wont blow!build quality?? yeah feels looks and sounds as good as it can, solid box clean looks. just remember its a subwoofer and needs probably a min of "150wrms".

Impressive for cost. It rocks! and rolls around...
Suprising for the price I must say.Build is nice, seems to be some form of chipboard, but doesn't rattle and works as an enclosure. This subwoofer can handle approximately 500w RMS (i tested it for 1 hour) before things started to warm up at higher power, powered by an inuke 3000.However there is a fair amount of port noise from the enclosure when pushed to its limit. There what seems to be an efficiency rolloff imo, where the bass does not increase as you'd expect pumping twice or even 3x the power. This does move a fair amount of air and for the cost I got it for so I'm really not complaining. It is however efficient at low wattages so that makes it very versatile.Highly recommended for the price, pair it with basically any amplifier and you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Total Garbage!!
Purchased this sub back in october. Paired it up with a jbl amp putting 120 watt rms into it. To be fair it sounded quite decent. However, I recently switched to a higher power amp, putting out 300 watt rms, still 200 less than the spec bass face give for this sub. Set it up properly, adjusted gains etc. 3 minutes later my cars filled with smoke from the burning sub woofer.Destroyed within minutes at just over half the recommended power handling! If you purchase one of these I'd also recomend a fire extinguisher!!!

Booming Brilliant!
After testing this out for around a week, I can honestly say that it's one of the best budget bass tubes I've heard. The difference it's made to my factory fitted speakers has been extraordinary, adding a real level of depth to my music.Installation was simple when coupled with the Bass Face amplifier, and considering the amount I spent on the amp and bass tube, it sounds a lot more expensive than it actually cost!As pointed out by other reviews, the slight disadvantage with the subwoofer is that it's round... However being aware of this before purchasing, I designed and 3D printed a bracket that rests on the curve to stop it rolling around during transit (see photos attached). Mixed with some Velcro tape it does the job perfectly!I can't fault the design and quality of the bass tube for the amount it cost... Just buy it!
