I also own the previous generation of this battery, and bought this one to have as a spare when I was going to spend a week in a field and knew that my phone had no chance of lasting much beyond lunch on my first day. That was 18 months ago, and since then, I've made sure that I keep it in my bag at all times, because not much says "modern life" more than your phone battery plummeting at the least convenient moment. It's small (about two thirds the length of an iPhone 6 and a little fatter), light and comes in a little drawstring pouch to keep it safe in a bag or pocket, although it feels well-built enough that it could probably survive pretty happily without its pouch. Charging the battery itself isn't the quickest thing, but just treat it as you would your phone (put it on for a couple of hours or overnight) and you'll get plenty of life out of it. I've been able to get a couple of full iPhone 6 charges out of a single "session" with no problem, and a quick tap of the single button on the battery pack lets you see how much charge is left in it. It holds its charge well, and charges a phone, tablet, pair of bluetooth headphones, kindle (and all manner of things that we find ourselves reaching for and cursing when we discover that they're dead) very quickly - in my experience, far quicker than a laptop. I've had absolutely no trouble from my unit - it's survived two muddy Glastonbury Festivals, a number of jobs abroad, a couple of camping trips and...London..., arguably better than my phone itself! Anker seem to have got the basics very right: a really good little product, well packaged, at a great price, delivered quickly, and backed-up by quick and friendly customer service. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Anker Astro E1 review.What you get in the box- The Anker Astro E1, a charger to charge the Astro E1, a manual and a pouch.Once its out the box it's already charged, so ready to use straightaway!Charging speed is fantastic, it charges my iPhone 4S very quickly, I think it's 1 min = 1% or maybe faster. The charger itself isn't very big, it fits in my back pocket very easy and with the pouch that also comes along with it, it doesn't get scratched or damaged by keys or change etc. There is also a button on the side which you can see how much battery life is left in the Astro E1.Charging time - The Astro E1 takes 5 hours to fully charge, so that is 1 hr and 15 minutes per 1300mAh.The pro's of this product are a lot:A beautiful solid design, meaning if you drop it or if it slips out your hand, it doesn't get damaged at all.Anker has great customer service, so if there's anything wrong with the product, they'll help you out immediately.A pouch which prevents the product from getting scratched or damaged.The amount of power it holds is a major pro, for a small product it sure does pack a lot of power.Four small lights and a button that show you how much power you have got left in the charger, 1 light = 1300 mAh.The size, which is really small and lightweight .Con:It's a fingerprint magnet, although that's not a major problem.I would recommend this product to anyone who needs extra power for their phones, tablet, camera's or any electronic. It even gives the iPad a extra boost. For the price and the product, it's truly an amazing product, which I have also recommended to friends and family and their also pleased with their products from Anker. On the whole I give this product a 10 out of 10, because it doesn't lack in anything and if anything goes wrong their helpful customer services are there to help!I have also attached some images of the Astro E1.

The corners are rounded and the surface quite shiny and smooth.There are 4 LED lights on the flat top of the power bank to give an indication of current charge.
